Hey Whatsup?
This is my first post and i have a question for everybody.
Ive been planning a grow for about a couple weeks now and money is tight
so I've decided (being the DIY'er that i am) to challenge myself with a micro grow:hello:
I've seen a lot of promising PC grows but I'm not too impressed with the yields, don't
get me wrong ive seen some great things given the amount of space, but for me i think
id be better suited for a stealth dresser build. In my research ive come across a website with a "How To" guide, check it out.

Build a Stealth Grow Box for less than $150 | Hail Mary Jane

and since I'm a techy to I've been looking into automated growing as well

How to make a grow box controller

now my questions are::confused:
1.How many plants do you think id be able to fit in there?
2.Is hydroponics or good old fashion the best way to go about growing?
3.Does anyone have any ideas for me?
4.How many lights should i use in there?

follow the top link for a basic picture of the similar dresser i will be using.
and the bottom link for the automated grow system i have in mind.

I appreciate anybody's input on this. :wave:

I expect to get started on this mid July.

I also was on a limited budget so I went DIY. Everything I used I either already owned or purchased from wally world:

1. Sterilite [rubbermaid] tub. [$5.50]

2. 27w [= to 100w] cfl 6500k times 4 [$14.00 ttl]

3. emergency blanket [$2.88]

4. MG organic potting soil [$4.00]

5. 2 micro fans [12.00]

6. 4 socket to plug bulb adapter [.98 ea = $3.92]

7. 2 power strips {had 1 already} [$3.50.]

========= $45.80

currently have six plants @ 1 month [bagseed] all look healthy and are growing like, well, weeds. I have six because i figure best case scenario I will have to cut down 3 males [fingers crossed]. Using LST method and they are all showing new growth along the bare stems. So it is definately possible to do this on a very small budget. Next time gonna get fem. seeds and top of the line nutes. Good Luck

Don't even consider the ONA. build a carbon scrubber inside there. Ona has to be replaced alot, becomes expensive, and won't really do the job when the girls start to get real stanky. The best use of Ona is outside your box as a bonus to attempt to catch any odor that leaks out. Even then I would rather use an odor eliminating CFL in a lamp on top your grow box along with one inside your box. This is assuming they are really as magical as everyone claims. I'll be getting some tomorrow and find out.

im no pro really, but im starting my second grow, stealth and indoor this time. Journal should be up soon, going to be doing a pakistan ryder and 60 day wonder lst inside 2 18"x6"x14" computer cases, but as for cfls, for the vegetative stage go with 6500k heat-color (daylight) with actual, not equivalent, wattage of 75 per plant minimum. For the flowering stage go with 2700k cool white to take advantage of its blue spectrum.

Oh i see so 6 of the 26 watts would do the job for veg?

does mixing them have any effect?
