Can you use animal grade alfalfa? I get a 50% discount at my local pet food shop so I get my oyster shells and random meals from them. They carry alfalfa for small rodents.
Just read the label as it''s very common to find pellets made from Timothy Grass. Certainly nothing wrong there at all but it isn't alfalfa meaning that you'll be missing a couple of important compounds. But if they're getting you other products then getting alfalfa specifically shouldn't be much of a problem I wouldn't think. LD
