Red/Orange Pistils .. is this a sign of being ready?

  1. yes or no.
    opinions please.

  2. It's one of the many things you should look at. But on it's own, it's not a good indicator. Different genetics will start to change at different times. This Banana Kush that I'm doing right now started changing in week 3, and now at week 5, she's about 80% coloured. But the buds haven't even quite topped out yet. . .

If nothing else, when you see the pistils receding back into the calyx, you should be about done. However, you should check your trichome colour, pistil colour/recesion, calyx swelling, and overall look of the plant. It's not as easy as any one thing.

When you walk in one day, and are awestruck by how gorgeous she is, and know she's ready for a fact, then she'll be ready.

  3. get a magnifying glass.. look at the trichomes. when all tips are milky, and 15-25% amber.. cut em
