How to store qwiso hash oil?

How much do you have?

 

The hash oil I've seen was stored in glass vials, but I have no idea other than that. (I know I probably shouldn't have even posted)

 

Foil and freeze it.

 

Parchment paper. I'm telling you.

Not wax paper but actual parchment paper (Bakery release paper is even better). The paper is BONDED with a silicone based non stick coating. Because it's bonded you won't have any nastiness tainting your oil and because it's silicone based the oil will NEVER stick to it or leave any kind of residue. It's awesome.

After I wrap some oil in parchment paper I just pop it in a spare glass nug jug from there.

I'm really terrible with storing it. What I do is put it on a RAW paper, which is a little waxy, and just scrape off bits as I use it. Then when I can't scrape it, I get some bud and roll it in that paper. Smoke it all.

 

I just throw it on wax paper but the guy above has the better idea

 

Pick it up using a razor blade and scrape it off onto a needle. Hang the needle over a jar and melt the oil until it runs off the needle and into the vial.

 

Store it in your belly!

 

ok, i just bout some, pretty sure its bho.. amber, had bubbles, very gooey... had it wraped in parchement paper, stored in a small plastic jar, put it in my drawr...two days later, it has the consistency of brown sugar...  : (

 

Plastic jar might be your problem, or maybe it wasn't wax to begin with?

 

Parchment paper, fold it up and place inside a small glass mason jar. Done

 

I always kept mine on parchment or wax paper in the freezer. I would scrape it off in the freezer with a razor amd hold a lighter next to it and melt it over a bowl. If i didn't store it in the freezer it was too sticky to deal with. It's a lot easier to work with frozen.

 

what defines it as wax to begine with... i was told its made using butane.. was gooey and stringy wne you went to pull it apart.. (when it was slightly warmed) at first, very maliable but clear too... ... lookd like all the other pics of bho,.. like jurassic park.. i kept it ina tiny little spice jar, the icky spice.. and had it wraped in parchment paper.. perhaps, it was wraped too much, and when i put it in there, it was being squeezed or whatever  i can post before and after pics...  can i post a pic directly, or do i have to put it ona server fisrt? when i first got it.. very gooey, had bubbles.. malible, easy to hold as long as you didnt hold it for too long, as then it would really melt...looks like bho, was called wax.. and was told its made using high qual tane, with little to no additives..

after two days.. maybe it was wrapped too much, then when i put it in the jar, i had to kind of shove it in.. so maybe it was constricted in there..   : /   
 
 
im guessing it was wrapped too much, and put in too small of a jar.. plus it being plasitc, may or may not have been a factor...

 

I'm not positive, but wouldn't wrapping it in tin foil work?  Just use a tooth pick or paper clip to get it off.

 

i talked to dude today, and he still has the same main big chunk that mine was pulled from... he has it in his pocket sometimes, sometimes leaves it in his car.. where its no hotter than 45 nowadays.. and he says he keeps it in his garage, where its wraped in parchment, ina ziploc..   and mine seemed to dry out, or seperate, after two days... im willing to bet it was either how tightly i had it wraped, the container itself, or the ambient temperture/humidity in my room/the drawer it was in...   im kinda perturbed about the whole situation : (

 

Just head down to your local headshop and pickup a silicone jar no more than five bucks and no stick at all

 

its normal to budder up and get less clear i don't know much about it but if you look around the forums it might have something to do with more butane escaping or i read on a high times post that some wax budders up naturally. but again i don't know much about it and i realise this is a very old post
