Cannabis coin that is scratch and sniff released

  1. It actually releases the smell of cannabis when the leaf is scratched, but you can only scratch it 40 times before it loses its smell. I'm buying one but there is only 2,500 so they're $60 a piece. :smoke:

  2. thats dope, i want one

  3. it says cannabis sativa, but that looks more like indica.

    haha I want one

  4. Both indica and sativa are Cannabis Sativa. It's just Cannabis Sativa Sativa or Cannabis Sativa Indica. Kinda confusing but that's how it is. Indica and sativa (and ruderalis) are subspecies.

  5. $60 for a coin?

  6. This is what I'm being told. It's because there is only 2,500 being made, and it's from a foreign country. $60 is an ebay price as well, so if you went to a vendor of such coins, I'm sure you're going to be looking at an even spendier price.

  7. how would they get the smell of cannabis into the coin, and whats if the numbers on the left side of the leaf. looks alittle funky to me...

  8. The same way they get the smell of perfume on those little samples of perfume on paper I would assume.. I believe they extract it in to a solvent of some sort, probably alcohol, and then some how they infuse it on to the coin.

This coin is one of many in this collectors set of coins, all of which have the fragrance of the plant that is respresented on the coin, it's not like it's some fake marketing scheme to get you to buy a coin, it's aimed at collectors of coins.

  9. that would be the year :p

  10. putting it on paper is one thing but putting it on a metal coin is a different story my friend.

no doubt this coin would be a treat to have but it just doesnt seem practical to me...

  11. Obviously I'm aware of the fact that you could just soak paper in the solution, whereas metal cannot absorb such things, however I believe the cannabis leaf must be added on there some how, and is possibly a different material than the rest of the coin, but I'm not sure.

Practical or not, these coins exists and do in fact have the scratch and sniff feature.

Do you see this as a joke or something? I get where you're coming from, but this information is from credible sources, so obviously they figured out a way to do it even if the whole coin is in fact all metal based.

  12. It's not about being practical. It's a novelty coin. Some people collect cars, some people collect art. Who are we to judge someone for collecting coins. Especially a badass coin like this

  13. I LOVE IT! This is a must have for me! I collect coins and i love marijuana.

Anyways, anyone know where it's made?

  14. can you give me a link?

  15. looks wicked sweet, however, a total rip off. it should be made of silver for that price at least, but instead its just copper-nickle so really its only for novelty value.
