Rippin a bong with MJ + Tobacco, crazy head rush but at what cost??

Hey everyone! I just wanted to hear other opinions about this - Since last Christmas (when a friend introduced me to the technique) i've started to chai my herb with a little tobacco and packing it into a bong. The hit is unbelievably strong and can knock even a seasoned (joint) smoker out in one hit, the transition from the tobacco rush to the THC high is also perfect making it hard to go back to smoking pure MJ. Its been a year now and it feels as if my lungs are extremely fatigued! I asked a friend and he said smoking tobacco with the herb is extremely bad because of all the extra chemicals they add into cigarettes! Any opinions on this?

Tobacco causes nicotine addiction, tar build up in the lungs, and lung cancer. You'll get twice the smoker's cough from tobacco than you will from bud. It stains your teeth, lowers your immune resistance, and diminishes your lung capacity.

Apart from that it's fine.

I put some pipe tobacco in my bong a few times and got said headrush, but that's it. I smoked ciggs for a about a year and quit those cold turkey, it's much healthier(duh) and gives me more money for dank ass dank . Stick to the green bruddah.

I was in the U.S.A.F. back in the late '80's stationed in W.Germany The local Germans would smoke joints that were a combanation of hash & tabacco, I'd smoked green bud all my life, but this combo of hash & tabacco kicked my azz. I've tried green bud with a pinch of tabbacco in a bong & it's way harsh, & IMO not worth it.

Uh, are you somehow not familiar with the multitude of ways that tobacco ruins your body? This should not be a question in 2010.

iyou're probably finding it hard to go back to pure mary because you're addicted to the nicotine. why not quit now and save yourself a whole lot of trouble later on down the road. smoking cannabis does not lead to lung cancer, but smoking tobacco and weed will synergistically enhance your chances.

sounds like a good way to ruin a bowl. haha im sorry. i smoke cigarettes. but i hate the taste of tobacco in my weed and the unfiltered tobacco smoke is harsh.

I and most people i know smoke their weed mixed with tobacco in bongs. We usually call it spin...
At first you get head spins, and that immediate high that can keep you occupied until the weed kicks in properly.

I understand its a cultural thing but jeez why ya gotta ruin the blessed herb with nastay tobaccy?

Too me it just seems utterly useless. Of course, I also smoked cigs for years and would always have to smoke a cig after smokin herb, just never mixed the two together.

Thanks everyone for the replies! Yeah it mixing the two in the bong really does taste absolutely rank but as Nutella said its a great bridge between the two 'highs'! I guess its just a matter of patience and always looking for the fastest way to get you blazed! I also find that the tobacco helps burn the greens a lot better but I doubt its worth it! Gonna try go pure of start vaping! wish me luck!

Tobacco helps your weed burn better? Something is wrong with your pot.

I did this one time with oil dripped on tobacco in a bowl. coughed a shitload (I'm not a cigarette smoker), got really dizzy, then puked. Never mixing tobacco with weed again, it sucks too much.

Apparently from what ive heard Tobacco can intensify the high a small bit but not really so much that it becomes noticeable enough, just stick with weed man, tobaccos bad for the soul

I regret to say that almost anybody who smokes MJ in my town uses tabacco with their weed, alot cant smoke plain weed without it, its really sad. Except for the few of us who still stick to plain ganj. Iv done it a few times, usually to save what little weed i have left and make it last just a little longer. It does give you a crazy head rush espetially the first few times you try it, and I wont lie its pretty cool and feels pretty good lol. But I dont do it very often at all, id hate to become one of the guys in my town that cant smoke weed unless there's tabacco mixed in.

I have been smoking with a tobacco mix for 2 years now, It gives you a better headspin for a few weeks then its just the norm. But if you go back to green for a weekend you can get super high they seem to burn much easier and pull through much easier
