This is more to post pictures of your bikes and talk about shiz like that. I'll post my ride soon, also maybe get some local rides together.
I wish I had shiz. I never tried to do that shiz though, because cycling isn't my shiz. But post your shiz, so we can look at it. Fo shiz
thinkin about gettin a super strong back wheel, I keep blowin out my spokes. Anyone know if deep section rims are better for spoke resiliency? def on a budget so may just go with something like this I ride this, it's a fixed/single speed conversion from a late to mid eighties french 10 speed that I use to to commute to work everyday But after writing all that, I think there is atleast one if not more other cycling threads
How much do you weigh? I'm 250 atm I started riding again @ 270 and my wheels are holding true and strong. If there's another cycling thread I'll post a link to it and we can move our discussions there.
Decided to necro this thread, I did a search and couldn't find anything newer. So who else out there likes cycling? I used to have a newer bike until a vintage 1975ish French Motobecane Mirage came into the Salvation Army I was working at. The thing looked like the dude drove over to the 1970s, bought it, then donated it lol. I got newer bikes that look and perform worse, and I got mines for free! not my bike but same one it looks like same frame:
I'm bumping this thread for bike love. Just did 46 miles in some crazy headwinds. Anyone else on here somewhat serious about cycling or commuting? Just picked up a Marin special edition off Craigslist a week ago and I've been riding nonstop ever since, would post a pic but she's an eyecatcher and I gotta protect the old privacy.
I just got a new vintage bike, a 86' Fuji Absolute and I'm enjoying it. Put a LOT of miles on the old Motobecane and it was time for me to retire it! The Fuji is another bike that looks brand spanking new.. don't know how these people do it, my bikes get a lot of use out of em!
For roadies I love my ksyilum elites. I have hit hug pot holes for years on those guys and still have never needed truing. Put waui Sent from my SCH-I535 using Grasscity Forum mobile app

OK people I asked this in the wrong place the other day. I've just started cycling back and forth to work it's about 2.4 miles each way so takes about 15 mins. My problem is my ass area is killing me. Tips for less ass pain? Will I get used to this? I am hoping I will, I haven't ridden a bike in years before this so I'm guessing I just have to ride it out (teehee!)? Or do you recommend getting some cycling shorts? Cheers chaps
It wasn't really either, just severely uncomfortable but don't worry dude, I got used to it Thanks for the attempted help tho, 'preciated.
I'm thinking of getting a good quality bike, simply because I miss riding a bike cause I used to love it and also for some cardio. I was eyeing this one on Amazon. It seems great for the price and I'm just a beginner when it comes to the art of cycling. So what do you guys think? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0060PI54C/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=6VDTBE0R1QPM&coliid=I1U0QM70A8J64E&psc=1
It's a heavy, department-store quality bike with inferior components. You'd be better off with a single speed Mercier, Windsor, or Motobecane from Bikes Direct.
This thread has me motivated, about two years ago I quit Ultra Marathon cycling after a 24 hour race and never got back on my bike. Thinking its time to start riding again! I still have my old race setup of a Scattante XRL aluminum frame/carbon fork with HED Jet 50 wheelset most of the time and Easton EA50's in bad weather/winter. And Floozy^ Look into some bike shorts and making sure that your bike is properly fitted. Pay 15 bucks to get it fitted at a shop, save your ass forever lol
