Why does everyone on here hate acrylic bongs?

because glass is 10,000,000 times better. I'm not even going to explain.

 

i liked acrylic to when i didnt have the cash for glass.. i actually like them there pretty useful when it comes to like throwin partys and i still use my acrylic sometimes even though i have an ehle...

 

yeah if u have the money glass is best but i dont mind hitting an acrylifc bong like honestly as long as theres weed in it ill smoke anything you hand to me and ill smoke it hard

 

The real answer to this question is PREFERENCE. Most people on this site PREFER glass to acrylic. That doesnt mean glass is 10,00000 times better than acrylic, it just means a lot of people on this site PREFER glass to acrylic bongs.

I personally think they are just being childish. Acrylic is just as good and will get u just as high. (u are smoking pot to get high arent u?)

I think its kinda weird how there is like a glass bong movement on the web. Some kids look at it as like a hobby or art collection I guess. I look at them as smoking devices.


Acrylic is WAY better for outdoor activities and parties.

 

Glass is art, for sure. Acrylic, not so much.

But at any rate, the smoke just doesn't seem to feel as good if its not coming out of glass to me.

 

because metal doesn't taste great. it's difficult to clean. carb holes on 90% of acrylic pieces.

but as stigma said, it's all preference.

 

The point of a bong is for smoke to pass through water. Everything else is just extra so it doesnt truly matter acrylic or glass

 

I apologize for my last post.
I prefer glass bongs because they taste nicer, generally hit nicer, and they look sick when they are squeaky clean. Acrylic bongs to me just represent cheap, and i want something of real craftsmanship too.

 

i dont hate plastic..

i mean... if the last bong on earth was plastic, i would smoke out of it. until that day comes, i will prefer/use glass over plastic.

 

I see glass as an artform.

So I'd rather buy something really nice that someone put their creativity and handiwork into than an acrylic tube with a metal bowl or some junky china glass mass produced by some 12 year old kid with 9 fingers in a factory.

And yes, acrylic does have a few benefits that have been pointed out already. Great for parties, great for drunk friends, great for clumsy friends, great for going places you don't want to take your nice glass tube.

 

This is what you need to do, buy an acrylic bong and a glass bong and see what you use more

 

ive never seen an acrylic bong with an inline or any kind of a perc except the ones that use hoses, and they dont make ash catchers or special downstems.

if they came out with a good looking acrylic bong with a spot for ice, a tree perc, a showerhead downstem, and an inline ac and a spot to put a "glass on plastic" bowl... for under 60$(cause i wouldnt pay more for plastic duh) id deffinitly get one cause it would never break

I like glass better and i have 3 glass bongs but my buddy has a nice acrylic bong and i love hitting it, and there way cheaper.

 

well put.. i bet your acrylic bong wouldnt be put into action too much if its sittin next to a nice glass one

 

I think glass is art too... and acrylics just look shady... I would buy one just because they are cheap, but I really don't want a bong sitting in my bedroom all the time. I'm good with my bubbler, which gets me fucking ripped. However, the coolest thing about Acrylic bongs is the fact that you can get them so damn BIG... I was looking at some the other day, and there was a 5 foot bong for $40... I seriously considered it... lol
