Got a mix n match 6er so nothing too special. Starting off with a Terrapin choco peanut-butter porter. Taste like someone blended up some Reeses cups and chucked them in. Good room temp beer.
I have a feeling this is going to age well, much like Sanctification. Can't wait to see how these drink in 6-12mo. [/IMG]
Drinking this. it's 13% but doesn't taste like it at all. Was hoping it would be super hoppy but it's not so much. Super tropical and cirtrusy which is nice. Overall nice and was ten bucks for a 750ml which seems right. Never had a bad beer from victory.
Drinking another bottle of Blushing Monk from Founders. I seriously love this beer. I've bought most of the stock that my bottle shop has. I think they have one left, and if it's still there in a week, I'm grabbing that one too.
Nice mild porter made from a 1796 entry in the Guinness brewers diaries as an aperitif before the main dish of the evening....
Vacation in Connecticut found some boon has a slight metallic like taste imo went away when it warmed Then tried this and it was not very good imo too vinegar like and not carbonated still good tho!
Hanssens is notorious for very low carb or no carb at all Thats never really bothered me tho, I like their offerings. I didnt get a whole lot of acetic character from their gueuze but the Oudbeitje(strawberry) lambic was quite the vinegar bomb haha
Tonight I had some Firestone Walker Parabola (nice thing to be able to check off of my list) and loved it. Beyond that, I had a second bottle of Pliny the Elder to compare with Heady and SOS. Still love it, but I feel like the other two beat it out pretty easily.
What year?? I had a 2012 a couple weeks ago and it was pretty nice, I could only drink a few sips though haha Had an Almanac Simcoe Sour and some Petrus Pale blended with the Red, pretty decent and only about 4.50 a bottle. [/IMG] [/IMG]
