Weed Star is more than welcome on Grasscity, as much as any glass blower who wants to join the biggest selection of bongs avalaible. Like the post above mentions, there is a place for Weed Star Prodcucts, between super low end and super high end products. This niche of quality bongs for a very nice price is filled by Weed Star. Ziggy is open for any suggestions or remarks and he sure can take some heat, however as he will respect your, sometimes very honest an blunt, opinion, please treat him with respect as well , no flame wars here allowed. I really hope we can be mature and use this thread to educate and help better create the Weed Star brand. Yes we have all had problems with Weed Star and have heard all of the bad talk but yet we have a good chance to make a company better and I think we need to come together as a community to do that. It's nice to have the actual owner of a bong company on our site to help and get direct feedback from us so I would love to see this thread turn into a good thing and not just people flaming Weed Star because I do think WS* has come some way, and their bongs are getting better and better. Please Ziggi impress us.

Yo ziggi you should really think about a stemless tube. I don't know how well your downstems are and all but I mean if you throw on a solid stemless joint and I enphasize SOLID, don't go cheap, then you cut out any diffuser problem and you can have your ppl focus on a solid weld. Then demonstrate to us how your weld is thick and properly formed and you will earn at least some respect from me Try some stemless straight tubes, just an idea edit: your vid ain't working for me
Ok...one more time and I'm going to be very clear. It's one thing to offer constructive criticism but when you come in and attack the integrity of the owner of this website, Superjoint, that's a completely different thing and won't be tolerated. This thread is for Weed Star so if you dig it, want to learn about it, want to offer constructive criticism or toss ideas out there, you are more than welcome to post in this thread. This thread is not for hate, accusations or absolute negativity. None of our threads are for that.

hey ziggy since you're going to open the bottoms on the percs can you please reinforce them as well? those are the only things that are keeping me from buying one. well that and maybe ditching the carb holes. good job on the 18.8 diffy. its comparable to a roor.de in its function. but for a lot less money.
i just wanted to say that not all of his bongs have carbs. I have a messias illusion ice double perc with no carb. and the diffy d stem is my favorite part of it.

im not here to flame ziggy, weedstar, this website, or anyone.. but i do have a personal opinion on the way that Ziggy has conducted himself in the past, the quality of pervious runs of certain models. inconsistant glass thickness, shotty tree perc's, etc. i realize that the use of lower grade materials like close ended chinese trees, dome percs, etc, helps keep the overall cost of the piece down, and i dont have a problem with that, and for someone just getting into the glass game there are other companies out there that give a better quality product for the same price. example, the Messias' illusion double perc is on Edit for $258ish usd, yes its 7mm glass but where is it 7mm? ive seen pictures of several different Ws pieces, and the beaker and bubble bottoms look like they've got some thin spots (5mm thick or less) and that weakens the structural integrity of the piece. remember this is my personal opinion, but if you want to get weedstar's name out of the dirt is 1, learn not to argue and fight with your customers or someone who criticizes you. 2, start making a quality consistant product line. in my opinion weedstar is ATTEMPTING to gain the hearts of those of us who love and live for glass.. and for a first piece weedstar is a decent piece for the money, dont get me wrong, im actually going to order the inline for a "party bong" simply because i dont want my higher end glass getting broke at a party... call me selfish.. BUT on a positive note, you're bubblers, and dries are absolutely beautiful. you should put that kind of heart and dedication into your tube line... because honestly if i were just getting into the glass game id be more likely to buy one of your bubblers over one of your tubes.. oh on a slight little ending note, lower the ice pinches on your inline. and maybe add a solid 8arm tree under them where they are now.... just some suggestions. oh, and start playing w/ the torch. one of the things that us glass heads HATE, and there is a fairly new and large thread started on this particular subject, start working w/ your own designs, throw out some prodo stuff, and let the glass snobs see it. you're company will blow up almost over night.
Hey Zig, and hey all. This is my first post here, however I'm no stranger to forums, and let me just say that this seems like a pretty tight community here on GC. Now on to crits, comments and suggestions: I'll start off by saying that the little milk vid you posted earlier is nice. I don't know how your older pieces work, but the general consensus from that video is that your bongs to seem to have a smoothe, fast shotgun with minimal drag, contrary to a lot of the feedback from others (I'm not trying to challenge others feedback on pieces not pictured in the video, just saying those two bongs look better than what people make them out to be). Some criticism from what I can see from pics and from peoples feedback: In my opinion the three arm percs you use should be discontinued in favour of dome percs , that is unless you can do a couple things.. 1. First being you should ditch the slit style diffuser holes as I'm assuming they are drilled or cut with a rotary tool of some kind. The reason being of course not to do this; residual stress and weakening of the structure of the perc in general, you're working with one of the weakest structures for a perc and thusly, I believe the addition of diffusion holes should be done with round melted holes instead of cut ones. (I also think it would be good to use round melted holes on a dome perc as opposed to slits, for the same reason) 2. One thing I believe you should look into, if you must use the 3 arm percs, is simply reinforcing them somehow. 3. As few models with carb holes as possible man, carbs are annoying, especially if you're buying a g.o.g setup for its pullout bowl function, which I'm assuming the bulk of your customers will be doing. 4. One thing I noticed after checking your inline ashcatchers is that there is very little support near the joints and the glass looks very weak (you can see the lines where you connected the joints to the rest of the catcher). They could also probably benefit from a thicker piece of glass connecting the two upright shafts that support the joints (if you have any questions about what I mean just pm me and I'll gladly highlight the areas I'm talking about on an image). Now, onto a few suggestions that I wouldn't call criticism, just a few (hopefully helpful) ideas.. -A tilted back style tube would be dope. -Glass hookahs could be a good idea. The only ones I've seen, big brand or not, generally cost an arm an a leg. -Multi chamber bubblers are awesome and I'd be pumped to see something along those lines. -More colours, fuming, frosting, worked pieces, and such could boost the aesthetic values in your pieces for sure. - Inline bongs with multiple percs or perhaps an inline that also has the removable perc system above it would be cool. - Last but certainly not least, it could definitely by with your while to have 7-9mm thick glass lines too. Alright hopefully that was decently helpful for you zig and I hope others can keep this thread going with a generally positive vibe and not let it get like the WS thread I read yesterday. Alright, I agree with all of this. But think about it. IF they did all of this it wouldn't cost the 185shipped cost that it did for my messias ice double perc 5mm. Its only 185 for a 21 inch double perc. As much as it may be shotty its still cheap. To do all the stuff that you and everybody mentions, I again agree 100%, but it would just drive up the cost. and that wouldn't be weedstar. it'd be high end.
I placed an order on the weedstar website last monday and have not recieved it yet, hopefully it gets here soon though so i can post some feedback/videos of some of their products that i ordered. I hope somethings not wrong with my order though because the dhl tracking information hasn't been updated.
it takes a while. it doesn't update till its in america, so its prolly someplace overseas, but not in germany.
