so i've seen a few threads on skateboarding tattoos, grip tape art, and just general skating, but i decided to make an OFFICIAL skateboarding thread.

i know there's tons of people like me on here who skate all day every day. for me skateboarding is not just something to do, but a lifestyle. the shoes, the set ups, the videos, the clothes.. everything.

I've been skating for 5 years on and off. My favorite skaters are Jamie Thomas, Daewon Song and Rodney Mullen. I got my first Pro Complete when I was 14 (Blind) and have been at it ever since. I am not the greatest, but I have a decent sized bag of tricks. I'd say my Top Five tricks would be..

1. Tre Flip
2. Varial Flip Sex Change (switch up stances in the air while spinning the flip)
3. Feeble down almost any rail
4. Double Kickflip
5. Impossible

I like the street scene, but I enjoy a mini-pipe from time to time. I have a mini skatepark in my back yard. Just a big square concrete pad with 2 flat rails, a 3-stair set, a pole to jam and a couple boxes/kickers.

Right now, my set up is as follows...

I used to skateboard when i was younger, gave up on it though.

i'd love to skate your back yard man, i've been trying to get a mini ramp in my back yard for the longest time, but fuck, it's so hard to find the time and money to build one.

my friend is on house arrest for 3 months so he's thinking of building one in his back yard since he has nothing to do.

You can buy like... mini-ramp-in-a-box for around $700. Comes with all the pieces, you just gotta screw them together. My buddy has one of those and it's pretty decent. Only like 3 feet high, but it's tons of fun to skate/bike.

yeah but i want a legit one that i'm actually building, that way when it's done and i'm able to skate it i'll have that crazy good feeling of accomplishment.

Got my B-Day comin' up soon so I'm gonna cop a new setup & some new kicks.

yeah i need a new pair of shoes and a new deck. i want to save the one i have while it still has little evidence that dennis busenitz signed it. hang that shit up on my wall.

i ride more bmx now, but that has been hard getting back my bmx tricks because of a skate injury [bombed a hill but to avoid crashing with a car i bailed and fell on my wrist]

The only pro boards I've ever owned were birdhouse. I still have the almighty 'Falcon 3'

Rodney mullen and Chad muska were my favorite skaters, Steve caballaro was pretty good with his half-cabs. I always hated vert skaters(Ironic?), street... or shall I say 'free flow' is where its at.

skateboarding i liked till kids made fun of me so i hit some kid in the head with my deck and got it taken away then i said f this sport just a bunch of skaters bashing on others because they cant bust nice tricks (no offence if kids "dont do this")

i used to be into skating, i just hop on and dew a few tricks when i get bored. i mostly longboard now, i love cruising and carving, plus the rush from bombing a huge hill. so awesome when ur baked:smoking:
