disappointing

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by loopster, Feb 1, 2010.

  1. This is just disappointing to me to see that all these fellow tokers in the location that i live feel as if it is some kind of popularity contest to have a fricken mmj card? i do not understand why they would feel the need to "have" one if they do not even have an illness/disease/injury which actually affects the way you live your life. I am starting to get really pissed off at the fucking doctors who with a little bribe would do anything. The fact that there are over 600 applicants a day for a card is ridiculous. I think they need to change the rules and not be giving those cards out just because someone has a headache or they "tweaked their neck" i am pretty sure a fucking percoset would fix that. They are causing problems for people with cancer and aids like what the fuck dude just the other day in college a kid came up to me and was like dude let me show you something and he has a fricken card! this kid has nothing fucking wrong with him what the hell its all just sad

sorry for the long post blades but its something that really needs to stop

  2. It's abuse of the system, what do you expect from some people? It's unfortunate but what can you do? Most states don't give cards for just a headache or complaints of not being able to sleep.

  3. I suppose it's cool to judge others by their illness?

I don't think that everyone needs a card, but anyone with a human body can probably experience pain.

    Medicine is to alleviate suffering.

The fact that cannabis is not on schedule 4 of the CSA, like aspirin, is the fault of the government of the USA, not the little users of naturopathic medicine.

Get a clue, no cancer patients are being harmed by your room mate's neck ache.

And that percoset you think will do him better, will also damage his liver and kidneys, far more than cannabis will.

Stop telling others they aren't sick enough for cannabis. Cannabis is also for the promotion of wellness.

  4. u bet me to it :)

  5. Well said

  6. couldn't have said it better my self.....

  7. so the fact that they show up to college completely ripped makes it ok? no it doesn't dont you see this is just ammo the government can use AGAINST legalization if it was legal more people would abuse don't you guys get it. The lengths people go for a high they don't mess with pharmaceuticals or alcohol because the gov't gets the money which is more than actually what they would get if they legalized

see its people like you that slow the process of legalization imo

  8. you need to do some reading and stop assuming what will happen. Take a look at the countries that have legalized. You will find their abuse rates went down or remained constant after legalization.

You may call it ripped, but they may see it as medicated. I smoke everyday before class and on breaks and I have a 3.7 GPA and perfect attendance after 120 hours. I am also continuously active with several mmj and pro legalization groups......so who am I harming???

MMJ an be helpful in many ways. Educate yourself, their are many more uses than just easing the pain of the terminally ill. I will not be satisfied until everybody that wants it has it without consequences.

ALL USE IS MEDICAL- WHETHER YOU REALIZE IT OR NOT!

Do you ever worry about getting Alzheimer's, cancer, diabetes or atherosclerosis? Chances are, you will get at least one of them in your lifetime. Cannabis may help prevent all of them and several other conditions! Preventitive medicine is a valid medical practice!

Now, will you kids stop quibbling among yourselves, begin acting like adults and start being activists? You should be sending out medical studies to your doctors and politicians! (click the link in my sig for 100s of studies) Are you commenting in your local newspapers whenever cannabis is mentioned? Especially those articles that make you say "That's BS!"?

Stop griping and hassling over who should, or should not, have access to cannabis. The truth is, we all should have free access to it! It gets rid of and prevents so much pain and suffering, that it is illogical to have it illegal! And unlike prescription drugs, it never kills from overdose, nor does it have those "serious and sometimes fatal" side effects. We should have the right to use any reasonably safe herbal medicine, and cannabis is safer than even aspirin.

Cannabis lifts the spirits of those who use it. And where is the harm in feeling good? Feeling good from using cannabis is not a sin! Nor should it be a crime. Let's work together to make this healing herb legal for everyone!

  10. QFT!
I am a junior in college(about to be a senior) I have achieved between a 3.66-4.0 every single term since I have started college and I medicate daily for my back pain. It in no way affects my schoolwork, some sativas actually help me focus on late nights.

Not 1/4 as disappointing as the idiotic criminal prohibition and criminalizing of our population that is yet again at the root of an problem with MJ.. Hopefully your woes are resolved in Nov.

You know what? Until such time as CA laws have some semblance of intelligence, just lump it.

ANd furthermore, who are you to say what is or is not a serious condition? Do you say the same thing about everything else prescribed out there for everything?

Just about everyone has a condition that any doctor would happily treat with pharmaceuticals... even if its depression, sadness, stress, etc. Are those not serious? Cant get it up? They have a pharmaceutical for that.. .hell mj works by making you like your wife! lolol

anyway These patients are using and these doctors are prescribing a much better alternative.

  13. WHat I find disappointing is this abuse of the system has led to a crackdown on all the shops in California. When I got my license 2 years ago, I had 3 shops within 20 miles. Now I have to drive over an hour if I feel like dealing with all the b.s. that goes on there.
Only reason to have it now is to grow in my opinion.

  14. bruh chill theres some people in the world who like to relax with the herb because alchol kills and tobacco kills, we cant get it at a gas station and have to go to the street and fuck with dangerous ass people and we dont get straight prices, weight, quality so we fake an ilness like insomnia or use our broken toe from ten years ago to get to the cheap awesome quality not to mention LEGAL bud lol just sayin :smoking:

How can you assume that just because someone isn't in a wheel chair or something they don't need a card just like someone who is? I know I have anxiety problems and, although I appear normal in my day to day life, I deal with it on a day to day basis. Smoking marijuana takes that away. it calms and relaxes me, and gives me a sense of happiness and well-being that makes my day a lot easier. So stop assuming that someone has to have a serious physical disfigurement or something to benefit from medical marijuana.

  16. You cant always tell if people are sick or not bro. I have insomnia like a mother. I can and have stayed up for 3 to 4 days straight because I didnt feel the need to sleep, and sometimes i can lay in bed for like 6 hours before falling asleep. It really destroys my daily routine, but I live in a non MMJ state, so I cant get a card to help. The point is, you dont always know someone elses situation; I look like a completely normal dude.

  17. Are you serious?

Medical cards can be acquired easily and means you can use weed legally AND get to use dispensaries. There's a million reasons to want one other than aiding your medical symptoms.

If you want your state to be serious about MMJ then dispensaries shouldn't exist and it should be extremely difficult to get a card. You should have to get your medicine at the same place you get all your other medicine and you should need a valid prescription.

That's not how I think it should be I'm just sayin if you really want it to stop it's not going to happen when you're offering legality and amazing stores full of weed.

I live in Vermont and no one I know has a medical marijuana card, but that's because no one I know is very sick and uses MMJ to treat their symptoms.

  18. No shit you can't always tell if they're sick by looking at them that's why there's tests... and by the way there are medical specialists who can diagnose insomnia and plenty of other sleep disorders.

CND: Looking Good But Not Feeling Fine

As I have pointed out previously, far fewer people are getting their cards than could actually benefit from MMJ, even under the most stringent guidelines.
