those videos tend to make people believe that they've been enlightened. they suckered me in briefly about a year ago. i was all ready to hang out with the galactic federation of light and cruise the universe in my new astral body. while i do see that there is a lot of unfounded nonsense, i do feel that humanity is slowly evolving. whether or not we are evolving towards existing as light entities i have no idea. i don't feel myself becoming any less solid, though i do find myself returning to more basic worldly pleasures like playing instruments and simply thinking rather than watching tv. i feel that if anything 2012 will be a sort of renaissance that brings us closer to the arts and we will begin to focus on more sustainable means of living and providing ourselves with healthy food. who knows. transcending the physical realm and becoming light seems like a pretty radical transition, though experiencing two bodies in one lifetime would be absolute nuttery
why wait? there's a lot that people can do now to help make things better... though, when it comes down to it, i can bet you that some of the most impactful moments that will happen because of this will be people's beliefs being tested and a lot of lives lost. i mean, how many people will suicide because they are fearful of the "Cataclysms" that are "prophesized?" how many will end other people's lives out of fear or panic? and how many people will end their lives when the "ascenscion" they're wishing upon wishing to happen doesn't? all in all, whatever happens, happens. if all these things are out of our control, it makes absolutely no sense to fret and get all frantic that this date is approaching while neglecting their "today" lives. if the world were to end next year, i would personally rather stuff as much experiences and "life" into the last days i have rather than sit around feeling mopey. and to be completely honest, the sad thing is that all this stuff does follow classical cases of a typical cult. the whole "love bombing" thing that happens... and when people are critical of the whole thing, they shut down and ignore while there are some people being critical out of a genuine desire to help others understand what it is they're getting into (from an outsiders perspective, that is.)
