Quadruple Threat - Four Strain Grow

OK I am germinating all of them tonight... The "Pot of Gold" is a clone from my current grow. I will spare you all the "start up" festivities.. The germination and the first few days of growth.. I just wanted to mark the day I germinated these babies and get the ball rolling. It will be about two weeks before anything "happens" so get yourself subscribed and you'll know when it all starts....

I am anxious to see these "high THC strains" grow verses the Pot of Gold I am growing now.. and some of the outdoor clones I have grown before.

DAY 1 - Germination

Not sure if this is an issue or not but I wanted to make note of it.

The Red Dragon seed sank like a rock when I dropped it into water to soak overnight..
The other two floated..

Just in case the Red Dragon doesn't germinate... we will see...

Thanks... and yes... it should be about two weeks before my first harvest... then I will have an empty cabinet to throw these in... and then about three weeks later.... I'll have another harvest and the other cabinet will be empty.... I am going to place TWO in each chamber... instead of 4-5 like I have now... and let these girls spread out a little more...

So the next few weeks should be interesting....

Until they are about 18-20 inches tall... because that is as tall as my grow can handle..
They will get taller during flowering so 18-20 inches in veg is a good hieght for my grow any way...

They are making progress. I took them out of their paper towel and inserted
them into small rockwool cubes... and they are doing fine. The Red Dragon
seems like she is a little stubborn about letting go of her cap... but she will soon.

The Red Dragon is... well draggin...
It seems it did not want to let go of it's little seed cap (she is a wee bit shy)
So I had to yank it off.... then there was this little membrane that was left around the top leaves... it wouldn't shed that either... So I had to yank that off too.

She looks like she is going to make it just fine though....

Great line up you have there. Sort of off topic but do you ever run into older Alaskan strains like any of the Tundras? I always thought they were incredible looking in photos. Must be great to be a legit op up there, still waiting here. Peace.

Nope those days are gone... I grew up smoking Matanuska Thunderfuck.. it was the death (that is what we called it).. sadly that strain was taken out of existence when all the ops in the Matanuska Valley were busted in the late 80's early 90's... that is why the new strain is called "Alaskan Tundra" and not MATANUSKA THUNDERFUCK... not only is it a different strain but the name was changed for better marketability as cannabis becomes more mainstream..


Hopefully the days of the "FEDs and the Locals" taking out an entire strain from existence is long gone... There is way to much hard work involved in this to allow that kind of thing to ever happen again!
