Wisdom Teeth / Smoking Through Your Nose

    ok so I just got my wisdom teeth and I was told I had to wait 14 days before I could smoke, to preven dry socket.

    my question is, can you smoke completely through your nose without problems? I have a few pipes that I dont use when Im smoking with other people, so I really have no problem inhaling/exhaling from my nose. Im just scared that somehow it will still fuck things up. (because smoking thins your blood or some shit)


    Also, I got 20 500MB tabs of hydrocodone... The perscription says 1 every 4 hours... Could I drop 2 and still be safe? Im not trying to get blitzed off my ass, but 1 didnt really do shit for me.

    I don't know too much about dry socket...but part of why you're not supposed to smoke is if you have stitches coughing can rip them out. I started smoking the day after i got my wisdom teeth out a couple years ago; i coughed off of a bowl and tore out all the stitches in one corner of my mouth.

    Idk about your question about the dry socket, but I do know that the hydrocodone thing will be okay.

    I had some dental work done and got the same prescription and like you said, one just doesn't work. Take two, it'll be fine.

    alright man, here is the break down.

    for your hydro question, yeah 2 will be alright. anything over 40 will kill ya (25grams of APAP is near the LD50 of acet.) haha so just dont take ALL of them at once.



    for smoking, i would reccomend having a buddy of yours milk a bong, and you pull the smoke through. how is this done?


    what causes the dry socket is the suction you produce in dragging, which in turn rips out the blood clot protecting the exposed bone from air (SUPER PAINFUL>dry socket<)

    what you want to do is wad up some gauze, place it neatly over your socket, have a buddy milk the shit, and you pull, with NO bowlpiece present. when you inhale, dont SUCK, but breathe in. this helps lower the suction which wont pull out your clot.


    so, gauze. buddy milk. you breathe in, not suck. exhale, remove tarry gauze from mouth and enjoy!!

    BTW, i find that hydro is a PERFECT combo with weed, so you will feel awesome.

    JUST BE CAREFUL OF A DRY SOCKET><

    yea agreed with the fellow above me... if you dont have a bong just smoke small hits really gently. i blazed a ton when i got mine out without any precautions and was fine. O and vicodin and bud is AMAZING

    I got mine taken out last winter so i did some research on the dry socket thing, I personally didn't smoke untill 3 days after i got them taken out and i was fine. So I would deffinatly wait just a few days but not 14.

    As for the hydrocodens don't get addicted to them:poke: but yea if by 500MB you mean 500 mg then you could potentially take up to 4 but be careful about the acetaminophen that stuffs not too good for you

    he could take up to as many as 40 at a time. of course, his liver would be intoxicated and would probably have to get some sort of medical help. 4 is a relatively low dosage, albeit 2 grams of apap is not good in general and is recognized as the maximum you should take per day.

    25 grams of acet. (APAP) is cuttin it close to deadly. Addiction with these things isn't likely, but if it does start to happen OP, cut yourself off and suffer the pain.

    this is perfect right here

    when i had mine out had my buddy milk the bong then id slowly rip it

    otherwise if you have a spoon you can try dragging on it very carefully

    overall just be careful. ive heard dry sockets are a bitch

    Im gunna smoke through my nose tonight, just to be safe. Then tomorrow me and my buddy are guna para-shoot some hydro and do the buddy bong thing haha.

    just thought i might point out something.....your hydro is NOT 500 mg that is ridiculous. 500 mg refers to the amount of tylenol/acetaminophen/APAP in it. Look at the SMALLER number, should be 5, 7.5, or 10. But it is the tylenol you have to worry about, too much is bad. I heard nose smoking hurts, ouch! but probably not as much as dry socket. good luck mang

    Yeah I know. I just figured they all had the same ratio based on the total MG. But yeah, it's 7.5 MG of APAP. I assume that's pretty standard, but Im about to take 2 right now... Pretty sure Ill be fine though, right?

    Don't smoke anything until the doc gives the okay, a dry socket is very very painful.

    It's not 7.5 MG of APAP, it's 7.5 Mg of hydro, the apap is 500. Just thought i'd clarify that. 2 would be fine, don't get addicted though.

    Anyway, thanks again to everyone for all the help. And pootime, as stupid as it sounds I think I'm going to give it a shot. I've been researching it a lot and I feel pretty confident about the whole thing.


    Anyway, gunna pop some pills now and smoke like half of a nose-bowl haha. If Im not too fucked up Ill let you guys know how it all goes.:D

    google cold water extraction, but since this isn't the box I will tell you that it is EASY to get hooked on these the high is its downfall and what makes it great. I would try edibles if possible though.

    careful with hydro and opiates alike.
    whenever I take ANY (sometimes I can handle one with just nausea) I throw up violently.
    Its how when I got my wisdom teeth taken out both sides got infected, 3 times. It sucked big time.

    so just watch out and try to discover if you are sensitive to opiates like I am before you take too many :p

    they ended up having to give me some pain killers with anti nausea medication in them for all my dental surgeries since.
