Detecting Edibles!?

    Hey!!!

    So, Im hoping to get a little help, although this may seem like a silly question to some.

    I'm flying to Florida sometime in the spring, and am not comfortable trying to smuggle herb over. I'm thinking about baking a small batch of "brownies" or "cookies" and writing on them with icing "Happy Birthday" or something and throwing them in my luggage.

    Is it possible for weed to be detected in the baking if it goes through baggage checks, drug dogs, or anything like that!? Im sure it wont get to that point as the airport Im leaving from is pretty small...but..I just want to be covered on all bases.

    Also, I dont HAVE to bring green over, but Id like to..and am just trying to figure out a fool proof plan! :devious:

    its easy, alota people take food in there bags for snacks..

    Just say you dont want to get low blood sugar on the flight...

    Are you fat? If you have brownies or cookies and you're fat all the guards are gonna do is just think less of you, not search you. And do not wear a stoner t-shirt or airport people may make a connection

    as long as you can take outside food in, you should be fine for taking them on carry-on. if you'r eputting them in your luggage that you check in, i still don't think you'll have a problem since the cookies won't stink like bud, they'll stink like cookies.

    I flew from LA to new york with my girlfriend and without realizing it she brought an ounce in her laptop bag. not really answering your question but it just proves that the people don't care what you carry-on as long as you can't hijack a plane with it

    I have a bud who works for an airline food company and he says all the drug dogs are downstairs searching checked luggage, and the dogs in the terminal are for explosives.

    Sounds logical, but I doubt the dogs would ignore the smell of pot because they were supposed to be searching for explosives.

    They can only be taught to search for one smell at a time AFAIK.

    Hey, cool thanks a lot everybody. I think I'll just take a handful of cookies wrapped in cellophane with my carry-on. I usually bring snacks anyways so it should work. Even if I only bring like half a dozen it should be good for a few days! :hippie:

    I just feel like its SO obvious, but I guess they cant go checking every single cookie lol.


    lmao, just this guy walking around with a huge baking pan full of brownies. Im actually in pretty good shape so it'd look even worse lol

    You will probably be absolutely fine. In addition, I just realized that if they do know that they are pot brownies, then that is personal use: under no circumstances would brownies be intent to distribute.

    There is an identical thread to this somewhere I just read and replied but I'm a stoner, so of course I already forgot where and what it was.

    Anyway,

    Use your head. And dont just assume they're not going to call for a canine, because they may. Just make sure your "edibles" aren't clearly marijuana. Brownies are sort of a no brainer for a cop. They will probably pick it up and smell it. Be prepared.

    And even if they can't smell it, their dogs can.

    yeah like everyone said you really shouldnt have a problem. Only advice is i know some poeple who make brownies with bud it in like litterally you get peices of bud in your mouth so i would make it with cannabutter im not sure if dogs would even be able to smell the bud through all the batter..Gl either way

    Thanks bro, that makes me a feel a lot better about the small chance that they do figure it out!

    Ya for sure. I'm using my head right off bat by asking around first. I hate to be sketch, but your right, you have to cover all your bases. Like I said I am not comfortable with bringing bud itself so I thought the edibles would be my safest bet. I will do cookies or maybe even something else because you're right, brownies seem wayyyy too obvious.

    Good advice. I will definitely use Cannabutter or Cannaoil and will take my time baking them!

    I can't say that I know, but I don't think thatd be the case. After all all drugs have different smells and I've only heard of drug dogs not marijuana specific or cocaine dogs. I very well could be wrong, but thats just my two sense ;)

    just realized your location is canada. if that's true and you're dealing with customs, be extra fucking careful. if your cookies don't smell like pot when they're wrapped in cellophane, i'd assume you'd be fine as long as you don't look like a pothead. people bring cookies and sandwiches and shit on all the time, my mom does it...
