Yes because of your attitude, if every generation just said "oh that's not going to happen in my generation" guess what? It would never happen. We have the technology in this generation to make it all possible they just need support from the people which just takes education. I'm sure those ~50% of American citizens wouldn't all still support him after watching The Obama Deception. (Haven't seen it myself tho). And plus Obama's only here for what 4 years? Maybe more if he gets re-elected. Hopefully he'll be replaced with someone better or people will wake up and think for themselves. Oh and its not a utopia and doesn't claim to be, its just a hell of a lot better then how were living now.
Human behavior is subject to the same laws as any other natural phenomenon. Our customs, behaviors, and values are byproducts of our culture. No one is born with greed, prejudice, bigotry, patriotism and hatred; these are all learned behavior patterns.
Luckily for me I don't represent the entirety of my generation then, right? Please, get real. I'm all for change, but sinking all your efforts and hopes into the Venus project at this point is nothing short of foolish as far as I'm concerned. In fact, I'd say it's not only foolish but representative of a fundamental disconnect from the current reality of things. People don't just magically change their minds on a subject after watching a single video which is probably little more than a one-sided half-truth full of omissions, and if they did those aren't the type of people I'd want supporting my cause, quite frankly. One's efforts would be better served trying to make feasible, real change occur one step at a time rather than hoping for some global, radical social revolution which is completely contrary to everything 99.9% of the world knows as their reality right now. And another thing, having blind faith in something you personally have little experience or knowledge of is a big red flag to me, as well. Have you even bothered to study or understand the economics of the Venus project and consider all sides of the proposed situation? Have you thoroughly researched how the Venus project will work from within, how it will govern itself, how it will sustain itself, how it will even be built? You don't come off as someone who has done these things, yet you do come off as someone who has blind faith in an idea despite not having done these things which communicates a certain mindset on your part--not a mindset that most would find flattering, to put it nicely. If I'm off base, then by all mean's feel free to elaborate on the inner workings of this perfected society which we should all embrace with open arms without question.
I don't have blind faith in this project (i think you think i'm like some crazy supporter or something i've only known about this for like 3 days i haven't done like crazy research on it i don't know why you think that) I'm just stating what i think is possible for the world to achieve based on an environmental side. Thats why i posted in the first place i think the world would be a lot better if for example people made cars based on how efficient they could be instead of how much money they can make off it. And what was posted and called my idealist viewpoint was merely copied off there website in response to what k.smith said. If i had researched this and knew everything about it wouldn't i have just responded in my words. Anyways this got way too into the venus project. why don't we end it or you can pm me or something
I think we should still keep trying to conserve energy and take care of the environment no matter what. But yaa...I don't really believe in global warming. Alot of people do tho...it's amazing how many people believe what ever they see and hear on the tv. Thats why I don't watch it much, I'd much rather keep my own mind instead of being brainwashed by money hungry demons. Peace

Typical behavior for the climate change thugs. Just shut up and agree with us, or we'll send the goon squad to threaten you. More brownshirt tactics.
whenever you see something that has such a corporate and NGO push behind it, it isnt for your best benefit, ok lol, just keep believing in gw, and ignore sunspot data, and the consensus building is just further paving the way for agenda 21 and a scientific dictatorship
Geez, Matthews has become unhinged. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLv3CK5haHU]YouTube - Chris Matthews: Global Warming Reality Check[/ame] MSNBC's Matthews: 'Miserable' Culture 'Pleasures Itself' Over Argument there Isn't Climate Change Too many factual errors to count.
Its funny that Matthews brings up the evolution debate. This scientist reminded me of some microbiologists who will quickly claim that every imaginable observance proves evolution no matter how obscure. When the climate Nazis observe an adult male polar bear kill a young polar bear they immediately conclude that global warming is to blame, as if this never happened until recently.
