Where are the Bay peeps at?

I figure there must be a bunch of you on here somewhere and I am feeling pretty social and thought - "Gee! What better way to get acquainted with some locals?"

My apologies if this is a super lame post, but who doesn't want some mental stimulation and a little likeminded company in any, way, shape or form?

raaad! for some reason it seems to be hard to meet people in san jose - maybe because i'm an east coast gal and nobody gets my sense of humor?

that's absolutely true. for a while i was very anti-californian, but i realize, there are jerks no matter where you live and there are indeed some pretty awesome people out here. I just need to find them. LOL

yeah, for about five years actually. moved out with my then-fiancee... so i was friends with his circle of friends that he already had out here. when we broke up I kinda broke off, made some new friends - only one or two of which are still around and I rarely get to see because they're whipped by girlfriends.

dated another guy after that... and any friends i had around then kind of vanished.. i've been single for 2 1/2 years and for some reason can't seem to form any really good friendships with people who have similar interests, and for some reason i keep meeting anti-weed people and its getting to me haha

I go to DeAnza, which is part of Foothill if I'm not mistaken. Taking these terrible self-paced classes at the moment... missed the first few weeks of school due to being on vacation and had to take these to keep the minimum amount of credits to keep my financial aid. oof.

ah.. vacaville.. I passed through there the other day when I visited a friend in sacramento...

never actually stopped for any length of time aside from possibly the one time my friend in the air force had to stop at that air force base overnight

south bay is so boring :(

I really am tempted by the idea of living in another country, especially nowadays. That and I imagine people are far more openminded elsewhere in the world. I can't get a break down here - everyone I meet seems to have a dozen different hangups and expectations, etc..
