First off, I wanna welcome back all the people who followed my first journal. All your nice words really helped the time pass while I impatiently waited for the grow to finish. To all the new people who are looking at growing Autos feel free to ask any questions you might have, about the ER strain, or Autos in general. My first ER grow is in my sig and there is a lot of info in there, so be sure to check that out too.

On to the good stuff. I began germinating on Oct 4th and on the 8th I had a little sprout, so that was Day 1. I'm now on Day 26 and things are looking good, potentially better than my first plant. I'm still growing out of the Rubbermaid boxes and using the same CFL's, soil, and nutrients. The only difference is that I'm able to use more lights since it's now Fall and I don't have to run my A/C all day to keep the box cool. As it gets colder I'm gonna cram as many CFL's into that box as possible.

So here are the pictures for now.

Pic 1- Day 7
Pic 2- Day 14
Pic 3-4 Day 21
Pic 5-6 Day 26

I hope you guys enjoy this journal as much as I enjoyed the first one, it was a lot of fun. I'll keep it updated as often as I can, and come December, it'll be bud porn for everyone:smoking:!

Nope, no LST'ing. I used LST on my first grow that I did, back in 2005 and it worked wonders. I think just keeping my lights as close as possible gets them to be bushy. I think this works out well for me since I'm limited in height with my box and don't want to run out of vertical room.

Sub'd. You do some good things with autoflowers. I did have a question looking back at your last grow. Do you think it could've fit inside one rubbermaid container? I realize heat would be increase, but due to the colder weather here, I'm wondering if it would work. Or do you think height would be the main issue due to not being able to top and train autos?

I definately needed two tubs. I'd say a good ten inches of plant was sticking up over the rim of the bottom bin by the end of the grow. I suppose you could LST to lower things a bit, but who knows for sure. I had at most another 4-5 inches before I couldn't move my lights any farther away from the tops.

Hey KB, looking good! Good to see you back in action, I enjoyed your first journal. Since you have limited height, you could always scrog a single plant.. I've been passing around this picture lately lol, but once more wont hurt.. Just look at this thing, it's a single white widow that was scrog'd and vegged for like 60 days. Plants only get as tall as you let em. ;) This is from a journal here on GC, but I cant find the link.. You could get a really nice yield off of something like this and keep it manageable as well..

And check out this canopy.. This technique is perfect for small spaces.

That might very well be the tightest SCROG I've ever seen. The only thing is though, that if I screen it in, I wouldn't be able to access the underside of the plant, since it would be "sealed" up with the screen. I'm not too worried about the height issue, though. As long as this one doesn't get much taller than the last one I'll be good.

Hey Kayak loved your last rubbermaid grow :hello: it inspired me to make one myself! Although i ran into a few problems :o

1. How do you keep the light from escaping the fans?
2. Do you have to take out one of your power stripes every time you have to water?
3. Also i know you dont move your lights, you move your plant but how do you do this and have you ran into any problems ?

Thanks a bunch :D

1) I don't worry about the light escaping through my fan holes. It's not 100% stealth, but I'm not worried about that since no one ever goes in my room. If they do, they're cool and I trust them. As far as light coming in, my dark cycle in from 11pm to 3am, so more than likely I'll be getting ready for bed and my room lights will be off.

2) I don't have to move my light bars. I've got them zip-tied to the upper bin, and the upper bin is fastened to the lid of the bottom bin. So when I need to water the plant I just remove the entire upper assembly, fans, lights and all and get right to the plant.

3) I just have the plant stacked on top of a rubbermaid organizer thingy while it's small. It breaks down into sections so I gradually make it shorter and shorter. When the smallest section is too tall, I use stacked DVD cases and work my way down until it's sitting on the ground.

Day 31

So I went away for the weekend, nervous about the fluctuating temperatures outside and how they would effect my plant. I checked my thermometer once I got back and it never got wamer than 75, perfect :hello:. Also, lots of growth. The bud sites are starting to stretch and get out of the thick canopy of leaves. I gave her a larger dose of ferts today as well, up to 1/4 tsp of Tiger Bloom and a very small amount of bloom booster called MOAB. We'll see how she takes to that and assuming it's good, I'll probably move up to 1/2 tsp of Tiger Bloom next week.

I took a couple of pictures, but only one came out clear. You can probably see a few brown spots on some of the lower leaves; this is from me "settling" for a slightly low pH two times in a row. I think I was trying to feed her before work and was rushing it. TAKE YOUR TIME!!! The new growth and the upper leaves are perfect looking so I think she'll be fine.

Yeah man, she's definately shaping up to be another good one. The stretch is coming along nicely now, so we're about to see just how much she's gonna fill out.

On the last plant, I had the main cola, plus 4 main branches, and two medium branches, so 7 good buds. It's hard to tell from looking at the top of the plant right now, but it looks like I'll have at about the same on this new girl. I should be feeding her again tomorrow morning, so I'll get a better view from the underside and see what's what.

I've got 178 watts on her right now, and as the temps continue to drop I should be able to get over 200, so I'm hoping to get more weight out of this one come harvest day. We shall see.
