The lights are off for the next 36 hours to start flowering. I will post weekly pics. I am a little worried on the two sativas that I didn't leave enough strech and some bending will have to take place. These are all three new strains for me.

Ok the lights are back on and we have a couple issues. First we had a big cold snap with the lights off and my heater over compensated, this caused the temp to rise to 95 and my bubble buckets to evap half the water. This also caused my yeast to go crazy introducing toxic levels of CO2. Everything is back stable now, but they are showing stress from the heat, and CO2 burns.

The good news is that the SLH is already showing female flowers after one day.

Hey Gardenmaster,

Thanks for the journal. I've also got a SLH that's about to start flowering. How tall is yours? I'll be following your grow to see how you handle the height issue. I'm also thinking I may have to bend mine, it's 28" tall and in a 5 gallon bucket that adds another 15" so I don't have a lot of room.

Good luck on the flowering, you've got some sweet strains going.

Mine was 17" when I started flowering, she's gained about 6" already. I only have about 4" left under my 1000 watt HPS so I am thinking I might have to get creative with super croping and bending, or install a screen 2' under my light. I will get some more pics up this weeend.

I finally got a TDS meter today (I have been doing hydro for years without one) and found out my mix is at 700ppm so I uped the dosage to 1000ppm. I am useing equal parts micro, grow, bloom and molasas.

The Jack Flash is still not showing sex.

Whoa-- that's a lot of height in a short span. Hope the creative training goes well, I'm sure you'll figure something out.

Thanks for all the info, it's very helpful. Sounds like we've both got a bit of a challenge on our hands :D

The three used up 5 gallons of water in one day...high maintenance. I am thinking about getting a resovouir for my bubble buckets.

Raised the nutr to 1100ppm and a ph of 5.5. Room has been sitting comfotable at 86-90deg.

I set the cheese up on a bucket, it was getting buried by the sativas.

I am planing on installing a screen 30" under my light, changing to a wall mounted oscilating fan and flushing my buckets this weekend.

Good news both the jack flash and cheese are showing female, I will get some new pics up tomorrow night.

I did a first leaf trimming today, I took all of the leafs that were more than 50% damaged, and any leaf that was damaged at all that was blocking light from heathly leaves. In all it was about 15 from each plant.

The temp in my room is a little high, about 90 during the day and back to 70 at night. Does anyone think this will cause any problems? The plants seem to love it, they are growing almost an inch a day.

I noticedyou could smell my plants at the front door, so I modified the exhust a little so that it's all now going through the carbon filter. I hope that helps. With the high day temps the girls ar drinking about a gallon each per day.

I am running out of room in my flowering room and need to expand. I have three more girls I was planning to move in in two weeks, but as you can see from the picture there's no room.

Thanks for coming by my thread that is a really great looking SLH I have seen a few journals with this strain and they seem to stretch a ton I have to say (and I think it has alot to do with your light) That is one of the nicest and the bushiest SLH I have seen on here thus far I have been training mine from the gate because I saw some other journals and the plants were a little stretchy for my liking maybe it is just the pheno but I have worked real hard to make mine bush. Anyway that is an excellent bunch of green you have there and your going to have a nice harvest for sure. I ll pull a chair up I want to see what she does I think you ahould start tying her down as soon as you can from what I have seen in this strain I bet if you let her grow straight up she will be over 4ft easy and wouldn't surprise me if she got bigger. I think you said you were going to get a screen in though so i bet you will be doing alot of tuckin. Nice grow man. Steve

Thanks for checking out my grow Steve. Here are some current picks, I am thinking about getting CO2 this weekend and I need to upgrade my 6" duct fan to a HO Can Fan, my lght melted the flex duct, and still need to get that screen in place.

Pic 1 is the girls, cheese in front, jack flash in the back and SLH on the right.
Pic 2 is the SLH
Pic 3 is a Blue Widow
Pic 4 are some cheese and skunk clones
Pic 5 is Magnolian Indica and
Pic 6 are some newly spouted LA Woman, California Hash Plant, Sour Cream and LA Confiden.

Thought you might like to see the next geneation.

My PH keep climbing, when I water my PH is at 5.5 then after a couple days it climbs up, once as high as 7.6. I thought my PH meter was bad, so I recalibrated it, and it seems to be working great. I guess i will just keep bumping it down.

Looking good man that is one heck of a jump mine usually goes up with a new res but stabalizes within a couple days sounds like you will have to stay on it everyday to make sure it dosn't get to high. They look real well so fat though. I have a question did your SLH seem to grow slowly in veg?? I swear mines a damn dwarf shes bushing but not very big compared to my other two strains.

Yes she was slow, I topped her twice during veg to keep her short and bushy but she was still only about 17" tall after six weeks from seed, way behind the other two, but then she passed them both up as soon as she went into flowering under the 1000W. I just went and got CO2 so I will be starting that on the flowers tonight.
