THC Breathalyzers ??

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by thunderstruck17, Aug 19, 2009.

  1. I know they exist but i was wondering if the police in Canada and more specifically Quebec are using them or carrying them in their cars ??? if they do then i cant understand why almost everyone i know drives when high :|

  2. I had always heard that weed isn't testable via breathalyzer. I hope it's not true!

  3. maybe it's saliva tho i dont know...

  4. They actually dont exsist yet. There is a UK univesity working on the concept now. This is the same U. that made the scientfic report that marijuana does in fact not cause mental health issues. The saliva test is becoming more popular.

  5. I have heard of the saliva test but never a thc breathalyzer

I don't think it works that way.

He didn't say "test Salvia" he said "test for Salvia" indicating that he was talking about testing for Salvia.

  9. Saliva, not Salvia. They test via your saliva instead of your breath.

  10. A breathalyzer, beleive it or not, would be one step closer to legalization.

  11. OH SHIT, lol my bad sorry.

  12. How, exactly?

  13. lol, its ok, there are only a few letters distinguishing those words :p

  14. Do you see any other drugs having breathalyzers?

when i think breathalyzers, i think its to catch people driving under the influence of alcohol..

Now when you throw weed in it it just sounds like it could be legal.

    Iunno :smoking:

  16. haha I heard you can just bite down on the saliva test and be good.I go to an outpatient rehab facility and this is what the other patients told me.

  17. Well you see, a breathalyzer is a form of regulation. The more they can regulate it, the more feasible it becomes to control its use.

This will eliminate a lot of high driving, which is probably one of the reasons it stays illegal in many peoples minds.

  18. Sorry for the off topic question but how do these saliva tests work? I've heard of mouth's being swabbed but never saliva

  19. IF this exists, then why cant we fucking regulate this damn plant already. its more difficul to hide the fact that you are under the influence of another drug, but so many people smoke bud all the time that you cant even tell. But then that would conflict the laws. If they didnt look or act high or suspicious, how could police find a reason to take them aside and us ethis device.

  20. It would indeed be closer to being legal with some sort of way for law enforcement to roadside test for it. It means the government can control it and regulate it.
