i have this old heat lamp used for an iguana and it is a full on red spectrum, and gets pretty hot, i do not have a heating pad for seedling like most growers would use, atleast not at the moment anyways, would it be ok to use this and place it about a foot- foot in a half away from them? i have about 12 seedling just put in soil? - also could this light be good for flowering due to the fact that hps and mh bulbs are used for flowering and have a vast red spectrum, maybe if i were to put the red heat lamp a couple feet away with the assistance of some cfl's 6500k's and 2700k's all mixed together for flowering would be a good idea?
