Best Glass Blowers in Toronto/Hamilton area?(specifically bong repair)

  1. Hey GC, what's up? So, i've had some pretty shitty luck the past few weeks, to say the least. I picked up a GonG gear bong for 160$ only to have it broken by somebody a few weeks later. The WORST part is, I felt so bad I immediately bought a no name GonG that was roughly 2 feet in height for 120$. Unfortunatly I was too bummed to really check the piece, and well, the joint was much less thick then the rest of the bong, which was suppose to be 7MM.

At this point, I have two broken pieces, the Gear piece being broken at the bubble bottom(chunk of glass missing from the middle of the bubble), and a no name GonG which is broken at the joint.

I REALLY don't feel like going out and paying loads for a new piece, when I've read that repairs can be made to bongs that havent been ridiculously owned. I'm also aware it needs to be perfectly clean etc, but my main question is, who should I go to for a quality job?

I read a little bit on the glass blower by THC in Toronto, and well, I heard not so good reviews. So, GRASSCITY, a fellow member is in deep state of meloncholy due to precious glass unnecessarily broken!

ps I will post pictures if there is a request, however I thought the idea of what's broken was pretty easy to grasp.

  2. I only know of one blower out of Toronto that does tubes.. I know he has some tubes in Liquid Chrome but I've yet to figure out his name. I'll keep you posted though.

Who is this glass blower by THC in Tornoto?

  3. the gear wont be fixable but the no name will and if its a good blower they should be able to put a pretty hefty joint on there that will be less likely to break again.

  4. the studio was called "Toronto Art Glass" but user reviews tell me to steer clear.. please if anyone could help im a dyiiiiiiiiin. need nice piece BAD

  5. I own a shop out of Kitchener, and we do repairs here. We have done Roors, as well as Gear. If possible send a picture, but both are fixable

  6. Check out some headshops near magic dragon on yonge. I know you know.

Other than that, pm mainline, I don't really know of any stores in kitchener.

  7. broke my friends zong 2 days after he got it. broken around the bowl piece, hoping some where in the waterloo kitchner area will be able to fix?

  8. If you can drop the piece off at Shakedown or Different Strokes they can contact me and I will have a look at it to see if I can fix it. I have a glass shop in Kitchener but it isn't open to the general public for you to drop by, as requested by my retailers.

  9. Hey- could you please let me know if you are still in business doing glass repairs in the kitchener area? I have an illadelph and no name glass wand (for torch heating to light bowl) and both are snapped right in the middle (i am certain zero heat transfers to where they are broken when lighting) > i was wondering if you would be able to add a glass marble and fuse the handles back on them? (im not picky about it being a marble- if you could just fuse it with clear glass great- a pattern is even better)

I would also purchase any 18mm downstem and bowl you would want to work up if you'd be interested in doing that repair.

let me know as soon as you can please- thanks

  10. It probably isn't even worth it to have them repaired as it could cost almost 50% of the price of the bong to repair. You really should get a better name bran next time. It's more expensive but your paying for that extra durability.

  11. Lol the post was 2 years old and he had 3 post all in this thread. I think he's gone but hopefully he will drop back in.

  12. @blazejeff . . . they weren't bongs? they were glass wands.

They SHOULDNT cost alot to repair- and they both were a decent brand a built well (glass is not designed to be dropped).

I would not want to buy a new one as these two are fine- just need to have the handles fused back on.

  13. Oh I see my bad. Can't you just use half length wands?

  14. yep- can and do (also- no heat transfers to the break- so im quite sure a repair wouldnt be heat stressed when i use them)

i would just like to get them fixed- rather than use to half-lenght ones (and dont want to buy a 3rd then break IT)

  15. I have a bong that needs to be repaired it is a pyramid shape and the corner cracked off do you thing you would be able to help out
