Just got back from vegas guys with a nice picture of what will soon be my heat island in my inbox. I figured you guys like vape porn.
Heat island has arrived and I feel after a couple sessions I can give a little run down of it overall and compared to the underdog. To start about the HI It is a glass core model made out of black and white ebony. It came with the matching glass/wood stem pictured above making it a mostly glass air path with a little bit of wood and some metal(there should be some metal in the heating core and the screen). It is possible to use all glass stems with the HI and I have found that the glass stems are pretty much interchangeable between the HI and the underdog. Heat Island positives/negatives Positives- Glass core actually does taste slightly better Faster heat time than underdog smaller size cheaper price Negatives- Glass core is breakable Can not get VVPS directly from manufacturer Very long wait list to buy Overall I would say it is very comparable to the underdog in hit size and density which is the most important thing to me in the end. Definitely worth looking in to especially if you can find a used one for sale because the wait list is still very long.
My roommate's M1A solo recently started shitting out on him, wouldn't hold a charge. He got it on eBay over a year ago, but Arizer still had him send it in to their US service center. A few days later, he got a brand new M1Y model solo and all he paid was shipping. I was surprised they did anything at all since it was an eBay purchase and outside of the 12-month warranty period, but it looks like Arizer has some excellent customer service. While cleaning the solo's glass stems, does it make a difference on what kind of ISO to use? 70% compared to say 90% ?
I use both on all my glass things, but the 90% is more efficient, and I prefer that. Dirt cheap at Walmart and Dollar stores. Avoid soaking.
Try everclear or 151 and you can drink what comes out like a tincture. Its not worth making actual hash with Ever tried an ABV tincture? It hits you like percs when you vape an indica with it
when you say avoid soaking what do u mean? I usually just put some iso in a ziplock bag, just enough to submerge my piece and let it sit for a while. Is this wrong?
Let me rephrase that. Avoid "Excessive" soaking. Just a personal thing for me. I just don't like to soak, I use alcohol, rock salt and agitation for the big glassware, but I never soak.
Im not a drinker either but the amount of alcohol you consume is no different than chewing a peice of gum or 2. The 10min onset is worth it to me
I just don't prefer buying something that will only have one use. Coconut oil is more handy for my uses. The edibles I make kick in 30-40 mins after consumed for me personally. Pretty quick for not being absorbed sublingually. I blame the emulsifier. Sent from my eyephone
