  1. Are you willing to go butane powered?

  2.
I too am considering same.  Interested to hear current prevailing opinion.
Used friends' PAX... wasn't OVERLY thrilled; there was some disconnect with either battery strength or heat source or 'oven' pack level...
    But open to hearing more!

  3. i don't know much about butane powered vapes. I just want something to help compliment my solo so it doesn't have to be used every day.

  4. What potables have you got?   I'm loving my Lotus right now.  Very hard hitting. So much so that I'm struggling to do a review on it due to how stoned it's getting me..lol

  5. I got the Solo and MFLB.

  6. Pinnacle pro is nice. I dint like it quite as much as my solo in terms of flavor and build quality but its size and power are great for the money.

Im interested in the T-Vape and Hammer as well, just not sure on the hammer because of the tane.

  7. I've been interested in The Hammer for awhile, almost got it instead of a Solo cause it's so cheap. I also think an Ascent would be nice, but it seems kinda similar to the Solo.

  8. Solo seems to be the way to go huh...  looks like a well-made machine.

  9. If you are on the fence over a vape like the hammer or lotus just pull the trigger. They hit harder and taste better than battery powered vapes.

  10. Howdy!

Finally got the harvest dried, manicured, and in the jars.  :yay:

So I wound up with a nice chunk of some potent sissor/finger hash. I was wondering if anyone has used the MFLB for hash? I have the concentrate trays, and I think the plain tray is the way to go, so I don't gum up the screen.

Anyone have any experience with this?

    Thanx!

  11. You should post pics of your harvest, this thread could use some bud porn!

I've used the MFLB for QWISO that was very dry and didn't hold together. Worked well, just like it works wonderfully with kief, I sprinkled some on top of a enough bud to fill the trench about 1/3 of the way. I've never used the concentrate tray though.

  12.
    Thanks! Here ya go...

I guess I am just having trouble getting the most out of my launch box. Originally, I couldn't decide between the MFLB and Solo so I ended up getting both. Since then, I have primarily been using my Solo, basically because of how nice the vapor quality is compared to the launch box. Idk, I really want to enjoy vaping out of my launch box but it seems that it is a little inconsistent on producing nice vapor. Given, I understand that the quality of vapor on the launch box is primarily based on the user and technique. Maybe I am doing something wrong. I can usually get 1 or 2 nice hits of vapor but then after those 2 hits the quality declines sharply and the power of my battery seems to fade quickly. Overall, I just enjoy the digital display of the Solo better and how it functions. When I use the launch box I feel slightly awkward, pushing in a bettery to induce vapor, it feels kind of hood rigged to me. Lol please help me either find appreciation towards my launch box or suggest other portables that might give it a run for its money.

  15. For sure the FB works better with the power supply. I've gotten into the habit of shaking after every hit. You can get a pretty good sweet spot with the PA to get some nice long hits.

The only other vape I've tried is my DaVinci. Which is okay, since you can better control temp, but I like the FB buzz better. Fixing to learn how to make some oil to vape with that since I like it for going to the movies.

  16. How much did your PA cost?

    $60.88 on eBay from easyvape

  18. The main thing is to make sure that you are grinding your bud so it's really fine! Not quite dust, but close. If you find your grinder can't produce a fine enough grind, you can put the coarse bud into your box and take a couple hits, then dump it out on to a little piece of paper (I use a gum wrapper) and roll it around and crush it a little, then pour it back in.

Make sure you're taking good care of your batteries: Taking them out of the charger as soon as they're done charging, storing them with the caps on (and not in the charger).

The PA was a great investment in the MFLB for me, as I use my box frequently and heavily so I would wear the batteries out quickly and have to replace them.

Lastly, I'm going to direct you to an amazing, comprehensive, (albeit long) guide about the MFLB! http://www.magic-flight.com/pdf/flightguide.pdf

The MFLB is so misunderstood. Yeah the batteries may make you think the thing is hood rigged, but its not. It may feel awkward using it that way, but over the last 5 months I've had mine, I've become quite comfortable with its workflow. I prefer a manual controlled vape anyway so I can get a hit when I want it.

@[member="Greengal"] gave the best advice when it comes to the MFLB and the only thing I can add to her advice in regards to the grind, is grab the Finishing Grinder if you don't like her method (I did that for awhile, and grabbed the Finishing Grinder). The Finishing Grinder really gets it fine, and its meant to be a companion to your main grinder (its REALLY small and only fits enough herb to fill the trench). My herb gets ground to a medium grind in my Santa Cruz Shredder, then if I feel like using my MFLB, I drop some into the FG and I'm ready to go. When I got that grinder, it changed how the MFLB was in regards to vapor production (big time), efficiency, and flavor (but still not as tasty as my Firewood, but then again, the Firewood has an mostly glass vapor path).

I too was on the ropes with the MFLB, tried to replace it with a Pax, and went back to the MFLB. I WAS going to grab a butane vape this weekend (The Hammer if you're curious), but I'm opting out for now until winter. Instead, I'm going to get the MFLB accessories I've been wanting; The Power Adapter and The Orbiter. When it comes to the MFLB accessories, it may not seem like they change the experience that much but they really do. The Finishing Grinder taught me that lesson :)

Also, @[member="Greengal"] brought up a really good point with the batteries, and I have to take back something I said before. I told someone on here to just charge them and leave them there. Well turns out I started screwing up my batteries lol. So now, I charge them a few hours before bed, and pull them off the charger and put them in a little plastic battery holder. But yes, care for those batteries nicely and they'll always be good for you. I ended up buying 2 more batteries, and the way those performed really showed me what I was doing wrong with my charging habits.

  20. Powerex batteries were a world of difference for me, and watching vids on how to hit it
