Co2 tablets?

  1. I have been searching for in expensive way to house co2 enrichment in my grow tent. apparently spraying selzter water on the plants doesnt do anything and a co2 system costs over £150 which i dont have.

i came across this and wondered if anyone had any information on it or has used them before?

    they are co2 tablets

Box of 50 No Mercy CO2 tablets.

"""These simple, and inexpensive, tablets are specially developed to replace the complicated and expensive Co2 fertilizing systems used until today. Growth stagnation of plants is often caused by a shortage of carbondioxide; in badly aired spaces this shortage can be dramatic.

With CO2 Tabs you can offer the carbon dioxide directly to the roots of your plants and significantly increase the speed of growth. Only healthy plants will be able to effectively use this extra input. The tabs release the C02 in the water and thus stimulate the growth. Healthy plants can absorb many times more of this important nutrient Co2 as is available in the air.

Attention: Adding C02 short before the dark period doesn't give any results! During the dark period the plant doesn't absorb any CO2. The tabs bond the Co2 about 4 to 6 hours to the offered water.

Application: When your plants (or cuttings) are healthy you can use 1 tablet per 250 liters of water. In hydro systems you can also simply add the tablet to the barrel. Overdosing is neither harmful nor useful. If you want to add the CO2 Tab instantly, first dissolve it in a cup of water (gently crush the tablet with your finger in the water) and mix it with the water that is intended for the plants. Apply twice weekly for optimal results, and preferably during the whole growing cycle of your plants.

Cheap and Effective way of adding Co2

Use 1 Co2 tablet per 250 liters of water"""""""

    any ideas?

  2. I did a search on co2 tablets (in just the titles ) and it came up with 8 different threads regarding this product. All questions should be answered there.

    Good Luck

  3. they did a good job for me and my aquatic plants, hven't tried em on my babies though

  4. Can anyone tell us whats wrong with the statement above?

Few things are more of a waste of time and a complete rip-off then CO2 tablets.
They will do nothing other then lighten your wallet. Sorry no cheap good way to do real CO2 enrichment. Zero results from such gimmicks are guaranteed.

  5. where can you find these co2 tabs in the states?? i am looking for a cheap way to provide co2 so i think i want to try these and sparkaling water spray, its cheap and worth a try

  6. this picture was taken from Rumpleforeskin's grow room. I would probably go with him on this one.

  7. yeah.... that won't increase the speed of growth, it will slow it, if not kill your plants. the roots need oxygen not co2. co2 is helpful for the foliage only.

and btw....i can list one thing that is a bigger waste of time and a bigger rip-off than co2 tabs.... the co2 boost system.

I can't wait to do a co2 grow...whatever it costs you to get setup, you should make back in your first harvest. Even if you can get one more OZ. ($300 minimum) then it's payed for. And as long as you have even a slight clue of how to grow....using co2 will increase your yield by more than an OZ.

  8. Can I get an 'AMEN' :p

  9. A bit late. But CO2 isnt used by plants roots, oxygen is. Thats why one aerates a hydroponic reservoir. CO2 is instead absorbed by a plants leaves which is why any somewhat sane grower would not add a "CO2 tablet" to their hydroponic reservoir or water destined for soil.

I know this is just basics, but just go buy a tank and controller folks. Ive also heard of potential with the CO2 buckets. But bucket refills are 100 bucks:mad:

  10. You can use a 50/50 mix of activated yeast and sugar to produce good amounts of co2. Mix it and shake it up, run a hose from the cap to your plant!

You can't get them here in the states. You can get them here.
    Grow Shop Alien
The price isn't bad but the shipping will eat your lunch, the Co2 tabs with shipping is about $45. My container of 60 Co2 tabs has lasted over three years. You disolve maybe a quarter of a Tab in a gallon of your nutrient water (soil). You can get more info from No Mercy Supply

  12. This is a complete waste. Get yourself a co2 meter and you'll see just how much of a waste

  13. Lmao co2 in the root zone.
    Roots need oxygen.
