"How" Risky is Growing 1 Pot Plant? Question, Thanks in Advance!

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by eXe, Jun 15, 2009.

  1. I'm tired of buying pot, and if I were to grow it would be concealed at all times and potentially under the "radar"

I just want, one and that's it.

Or, should I just wait till I graduated and move to a medical state and come down with, how do they say? Anxiety?

Anyhow, I wanted to know what are the potential legal actions that would be taken towards me being that I'm in Georgia I pulled up this info on NORML

Question most concerned about, will I be detected on radar?
    10 lbs or less\tfelony\t1 - 10 years

  2. why not keep looking on norml for the legal info you need?

  3. I would say that growing one plant is less risky than actually buying it..
the biggest risk associated with buying weed is transporting it from your dealers house to yours (being pulled over and having cops search your car is the biggest reason that people get charged with possession).. it's 10 times harder for a cop to obtain a warrant to search your house than it is for him to search your car. so for one little plant i would say that you should be fine.. just don't keep it anywhere near windows or a place where it can be seen from outside of your house

  4. Only a tool would lie about a medical condition to get legal smoke.

  5. Then my friend, there are a lot of "Tools" in this world.

  6. Your good just don't tell everyone you grow or get greedy and say hey this plant is worth good money but doesn't cost me anything i should start selling. :smoke::smoke:

  7. uhh, it will cost you waaaaaaay more to grow yourself instead of paying for it. marijuana doesn't grow like other plants do. it requires a lot of very expensive nutrients.

  8.

  9. lol the nutes arent expensive the electric bill is...though growing is way better cause you know everything that comes into contact with it.

okay theres no radar because...well everything solid will show up on radar dude. They use infa red cameras that pick up the heat traces from your light staying on 18 to 24 hours a day, but having a small cfl setup is pretty safe

  10. People need to stop building there lives around marijuana.

It seems like anything anyone who smokes wants to do is smoke weed all day.

Oh when im old enough im gonna move to get MMJ. Oh when I get a job ill smoke weed all day.

Follow your dreams not the weed and the weed will follow.

    OP.

Grow outdoors. Drive your car, or walk to a nice secluded spot with lots of sunshine and throw down some plants.

Don't throw away everything just because you want weed, why would you ever consider moving away to get medical marijuana if you don't really need it. You would move away from all your family and everything just to get weed?

  11. ^^ no it doesn't.

twenty dollars of nutrients can grow hundreds of pounds. I think jacks classic is under ten bucks. blood and bone meal is under twenty bucks. all that is left is soil and perlite which is about twenty bucks together.

The deal is why do you want one plant? What if it turns out to be a male? My guess is you mean you want one magical plant that always produces weed and you'll have enough to smoke. Well in real life one plant will be smoked in a matter of days or weeks. Unless you grow one giant ass tree in your closet that will yield a half pound or something. You'll have to veg it for five months or something but...

at any rate I think you see my point. It's not quite as simple as putting a plant under a desk lamp and now you have free weed any time you want it.

On the other hand if you are serious you can grow enough smoke for yourself pretty easy with fluro's from wal mart.

If you don't tell anyone and you stop buying it's not like the police suddenly know you have ten plants as opposed to 1. It's a pretty silly thing to base it on if you ask me. Growing one plant.

  12. nutrients can definitely be expensive at first, and yes, the electricity is the expensive part in the long run. Also, seeds aren't as cheap as poppy seeds from OSH.

  13. Startup costs can be significant depending on how you get advice. If someone goes out and buys the whole line of advanced nutes because they don't know any better, well, that's a lot more than electrical for the near future. A one plant grow could be run under 400 W HID for like $15 per month in lots of places. For base nutes, you can spend a not insignificant amount of money, and there's ventilation, and filters, and circulation fans, and soil or soilless medium.

  14. First of all, I'm in school to become a Doctor in Pharmacy.

Second, well.... I think that just about covers it.

  15. sounds like you're really into weed yourself, otherwise you wouldn't be on a marijuana forum.

  16. Good reason to start with bagseeds while you learn :) though bagseeds can be unpredictable and herm-prone

  17. Thanks for the advice, the perception of the putting a plant light under a desk has come to a realization of what "work" is truly needed.

Thus I will probably just be moving to a MMJ state, both because my profession is in demand everywhere and as far as parents go, I can visit them whenever I want vice versa.

  18. Touché

  19. id say it isnt too risky for just one plant just dont do anything stupid to draw any attention to it or yourself

  20. you can do it with a couple cfls, but you won't be crazy about the results IMO. it's a quick escalation process, you'll want to go bigger as soon as you get started (voice of experience)
