So i've got 6 female afghani goo plants currently vegging, i have them in a friends house who occasionally smokes with the plants, he really thinks he knows alot about growing and i've had to set him right about alot of things but he's still absolutely convinced that dumping ash on the soil of the plants is good for them, i'm fairly certain that this does nothing, if anything and i'm worried this could be having adverse effects like adjusting my ph to undesired levels, i'm just looking for some solid information one way or the other, thanks!
Ash does do something to the soil possibly lower the ph, so while your friends not wrong he still doesnt have clue what hes doing
I don't know if marijuana ash is the same, but wood ash is alkaline not acidic. Unless you need to raise your pH, I wouldn't add ash to your soil. In fact, lye can be obtained from wood ashes.
