has any one tried root excelurator????

Google isn't turning up any results for this product's ingredients, which is important.

It claims to do two things.

One, promote root development. As far as I know, the only additive that does this (besides basic nutrients without which a plant can't grow anything) is hormones or plant growth regulators. It's an auxin and is found in all rooting compounds, Rootone being the most common. Unnecessary for plants that already have roots and are producing this compound all on their own.

Two, prevent root diseases. Fungi seem to be its primary target. Of course, there's already fungicides you can buy for your solution that are cheaper.

My opinion? Not worth it. Seems like a magic snake-oil panacea. There will probably be little, if any, noticeable benefit.

 

If it's the Van De Zwaan House and Garden one; Yes I've tried it and it is THE SHIT! It's like crack and steroids for the roots. I use it for seedlings (after 3 weeks) and for clones when they start bulking up and turning white at the bottoms. Definitely worth the buy.

 

just curious what does the stuff smell like that you guys are talking about. Does it make the plants smell at all just wondering if ther is any chance of it being a subculture type of thing or not is all.

 

I use House & Garden nutes, the root excelurator is amazing stuff, exspensive but well worth it, I just had a cooling fan die on one of my dwc bubble berry kush plants, res over heated and killed my root ball, with out taking the plant out of flower, i cut all the roots off my net basket, mixed in the root excelurator, while I do have some damage to the plant due to it being nute locked, But 3 days later, iv got 500 to 700 new roots over 8" long, plant is pulling out fine... House & Garden cost more, but you wont find a better product.

 

I just got an e-mail from my bro in Wisconson who used some of that stuff for the first time and he told me root nubs were showing at SIXTEEN HOURS after spraying!!!!!

 

i have used rhizotonic by CANNA, i transplanted from solo cups to 1.5 gallon buckets, roots were exploding out the bottom after 6 days. I have used it ever since, along with liquid karma from botanicare.

 

I personally use Rootstock, from Earth Juice. Never not use it again.

Ive even herd thru the grapevine that Advanced Nutrient people even are amazed at what RE can do.It is hands down the best at what it does.Ive even herd them say they would use it over their version.

It works very well I would recomend it to anyone with root rot problems.Even as expensive as it is.

A word of caution It will not solve all your root rot problems if you have a bad enough case but if caught early enough root rot does not stand a chance.

RE is not food so it would not make for good foliar feed.
RE is Beneficial Bacteria and helps break down your plants nutes so they can access them quicker and more easily.
RE is also a super BB cocktail that out competes root rots(most likely created by your fungus gnats) food source.

H&G has only been putting what is legally required on the label, which is jus NPK sources. Old bottles used to say "Derived from Organic Biological Organisms" or something similar. It might also have hormones or PGRs but this is just speculation. Over the past year I moved away from H&G and was experimenting with other products. A few weeks ago i went back to the full H&G line, and am not sure why I stopped... My plants are unrecognizable now, its like night and day. Unbelievable really...

 

i can believe how tall my plant are, with roots coming out of the bottom of 5 gal.buckets. they need 2 like gallons of nutes/water everyday. due to hot sunny weather. transplanting into 10 gallon smart pots. i believe its GA3 hormone. GA3 is available at amazon. seems to fit the character of Root Excelurator. The less you you use, the better the results. I use .5ml per gal. This is the shit. once every 2 weeks. and watch the show. I'm also using top booster which helps the plants to start budding. Outside plants are just starting to bud. they ve been outside since april 20th. I cant wait! 60 days to go.

 

I think it's freaking amazing and use it as part of my recipe through week 3 of flower. It's expensive though so you'll have to decide if it's worth it
