The Pittsburgh Pirates lost to Manatee Community College. It wasn't the actual Pittsburgh Pirates, but was one of their minor league teams. They've played the last ten seasons and have won them all until the 11th time. The Lancers beat the Pirates 6-4.
“We’re a junior college, they’re professionals,” said MCC coach Tim Hill. “I think it’s a very big accomplishment. Not to take anything away from their guys, but they do that for a living . . . and we’re not used to seeing the type of pitchers we saw, and this was the first time our guys used wooden bats."

Now on to Kentucky State. Kentucky State has to be the worst team in all of college baseball. They are a tiny D2 school and have numerous double digit losses this season. That's understandable, but go get beat by 48 runs? Haha the game was even ended in the 5th inning. This was supposed to be the first of a double header, but the coaches decided not to play the next game. It would have been the largest margin of victory in D1 history, but Kentucky State is D2.
