  1. Woke up this morning to find myself a new daddy! :D Four days from seed to seedling. No paper towel, just straight into warm germination mix, which is ground up perlite/vermiculite.

Lookin really good man!!! Sorry it took me so long to get over here... I'm excited for you too on those new babies......

+rep for your powerskunk, I hope mine turns out as wells as yours :) I just got it under my new hps today!!!

  4. just to let folk know. the Auto Cheese is my own genius. If you know about the big Bad John seeds you know where 50% of my genes come from them. Youv'e obviously heard of Lowryders? Well, these are HIGHRYDERS!!! Tall bushy auto weed, and it's pukka. It's definately the future. That's why I'm coming out with my own seed co, soon. All of em will be autos, tall big yeilders. Who's gonna want to fuck about with different light regimens and different spec lights etc. Then ther'es all that veg period waiting around. Nah son, the futrure is Auto-Widow, Auto Cheddar, Auto-Jack , Auto-Sk#1 and Auto-Masterkush...........
These are all strains I'm working on. I've the first Auto-Cheddar line of seeds from pure bred, fat, excellent genotypes and I've hopefully got it. Soon as I harvest all my normal Cheese, Widow and Sk#1 I'm gonna pump funds into the website and all that. I'll be selling pure bred auto's that grow high like normal buda.
Like I said, the future is plants that take 2 months start to finish and can be left on 20/4 photoperiod.

  5. Dude, for some reason, that completely cracked me up. Thanks.

Powerskunk's looking good. Can't wait to see the pretty flowers!

  6. So, I started doing some research on using aquarium water and ran across this High Times article

High Times > BREEDING THE SPICE OF LIFE

This guy is taking it to the max, having his water provide every nute needed for the plants entire life. I love this idea. He states though that cheaper food like pellets and flakes leave their scent in the herb and recommends only occasional feedings with these products. All I feed is pellets, so I'm going to quit giving my aquarium water to my flowering plants until I can get my water changed out and start feeding my fish the good stuff. This is also going to be a good excuse to put a couple more cichlids in the tank.

  7. welcome to aquaponics......you can have the fish living under the root balls homie!;)

  8. remember i told you i fed the fish worms...worm castings.....not a coincidence. also whole fish....fish meal....feed the feeder fish blood worms..feed the blood worms eat dead plant matter (cannabis leaves or even flowers) hows that for a life cycle.

    i posted some bud porn

  9. Sorry for sparking a debate on auto's. I like your deepness into organics!! Good Ideas tho. I aint got no fish so do ya reckon cat shit? Or should I straight just kill the little bollock and stick him in my composter? That's some mad cycle of shit eating eachother for your fertillisiation needs!! Brummie cocks his tek-

  10. Tonite, Venus came out of the closet. This is her 90th (day) birthday so I threw together a surprise party. She's really starting to put on some stink...skunky and piney. The "dirty dawg" I've been calling her.

    IMG_2701.jpg

The first two pics are of the main cola(s), which was topped about a week before flowering. Third pic is of a nice side branch. All in all, I count 15 solid bud tops growing on her and a bunch more down below.

    IMG_2704.jpg

These are some close-ups of the two main colas.

This is a shot of the rugged ole' trunk supplying life to the sweet nectar up above.

  11. Looks really good Mr. Farmer, you have a true green thumb. Did you ever get ahold of some worm castings?

    Keep it green!

  12. Not yet man. I have the tubs to put together my own mini farm, but that's as far as I've gotten. :)

And I never thanked you for that link. I would like nothing better than becoming an entrepeunerial worm farmer.

Hey bro, great pics of yer girls! Bummer on yer NL seeds... maybe that 0/5 will bump yer chances next time you germ some mystery sex seeds. My first grow I sprouted 5 bag seeds and grew 5 lovely plants... until 4 of them showed balls. Grr... (Tho the surviving female produced 2.5oz, so I can't complain too much! :D)

For my second grow I have a couple of fem WW in veg, prolly going into the flower chamber today. BUT, already in the flower chamber for the last week are these:

    9942.jpg

Yep, a couple of Power Skunks undergoing extreme LST, fat twisted trunks and all. Unfortunately, they are mystery sex and taking their sweet, HPS-soaked time waiting to reveal their gender.

So, do you recall when you spotted the first pre-flowers on yer gals? You vegged for 60 days... did they show sex before you put them in flower?

Yer gals look fantastic now! Putting on excellent buddage! Have the floppy branches strengthened to the point where they can stand up without support?

Also, where did you end up hooking down the top cola(s)? I topped the main stem while in veg so I've got two top colas coming, but they're growing up from a side of the pot, not in the center.

Thanks for posting the regular updates. I've got this journal bookmarked and will be checking in regularly. Peace and good growing! :)

  14. god i love that twisted stalk! and those buds yummy!

    rep if i can

  15. Pistol, you found my long lost siblings. I will need you to return those promptly. Lookin good though man. I am on my iPod so I'll post up on your ?s tonite.

  16. Hyrd, is there any corner of this city you haven't been to yet? You a postin' maniac.

and dude, pistils, You really kept the strech down on those Skunks man. Did you hit it with some LST after it puts its stretch on? I just turned mine loose and got lazy with it, now they're alittle unruly. Except for a few runners, your plants look pretty tidy. Feel free to keep droppin' pics here and there, man.

I tied the main cola(s) down right behind where they split. Was the only pin really doing anything on the trunk. Needed a shitload of pins though to do the rest of the plant. Sidebranches off of sidebranches. There's gonna be a shitload of nuggets coming off these girls. All the pins are pulled now, but it looks like I'll be tying the floppies UP next time the plants are out of the closet. Thanks for steering me in that direction.

    IMG_2711.jpg

Early stages. 3rd pic has the Northern Lights that went male on me. They ended up getting some massive leaves on them, especially compared next to the PowerSkunks.

    IMG_2592.jpg

If I'm thinking right, these guys started showing preflowers around 40 days in to veg. I saw pistols 8 days after I switched to 12/12.

It's pretty funky when you have to turn the pot round and round to find the tops. I ended up drawing an arrow on the side to make em easier to spot. But once they get buds it's alot easier to spot them.

  17. Im a thread whore!

  18. Well, this is the first time I've tried to use Dierwolf's LST method and it's been something of a pain. I've been wanting to let them just go for a while now.... hehe. Honestly, my PS's look a lot like yers and they're stretching like crazy since I put them in 12/12. Node spacing is definitely not as tight as what I was seeing on the more inidica-dominant strains I was vegging. I have the PS's getting a good breeze from a fan on the wall so hopefully that will keep the cola stalks strong. Thanks for the kudos... and the OK to post some more pix down the road. :D

So yer top colas are near the side? I'm really curious to see how they develop. Maybe you can point out the tops in yer next pic update. I still have a couple dozen hooks in the soil but I'm not tying anything else down now.

Look familiar? Maybe these are the long lost siblings! Ill be happy to send you the twisted stalks once I've harvested the fruits! :p

    9879.jpg

Well, damn... it's been 7 weeks since my 2 sprouted and today it's 9 days in flower... still no signs of sex. But my fem White Widows, same age as the PS are showing their pre-flowers (both girls, phew!). These PS's are growing so good I'll be really bummed if I get 2 males...

Haha! Yeah, it is funny trying to find the end of the main stem! Good idea on marking the pot... Are you noticing a difference in how well yer top colas are producing, compared to side branches? I'd expect so, but dunno how long it takes for the tops to get crazy big.

Thanks a bunch for the info, bro! Really appreciate it... Looking forward to yer next pic update! :hello:

  19. Got the girls staked up tonite.

    BEFORE IMG_2715.jpg

Still pretty chaotic but they fit next to each other alittle better now

    IMG_2726.jpg

Got alittle FIM happy with Serena which might explain why her buds are so much smaller then Venus'. This is a FIM of a FIM. There's some 7 buds on one top.

    IMG_2720.jpg

Pistils, here's an attempt at showing how the top comes up from the side of the pot. The buds are definitely bigger on the main colas, but the strong side branches are not that far behind.
