The Difference b/w Heady Glass and Prodo

Since I've been back to the city I've seen the term "Heady Glass" thrown around rather loosely. This could be to the change of format to the city with just the glass section.

This term is not being used properly in all cases so let's lay down some circumstances in what is heady, and what is not.

Heady glass is a term used to describe that you have a piece that only Heady bud, or dank is going to be smoked out of. This is high end, artistic glass which is blown from a very talented artist. Some things to look for in heady glass are reversals, wig wags, millies, rettis, honey comb and worked sections. Heady glass is one of a kind glass.

There is a lot of nice glass that contains some of this work also, but not to as high of a degree. This glass should not be considered heady glass.

This chillum here is a nice little piece of mine with some good work on it. It's not a heady piece, but it is made well, has nice design to it, and I love the galaxy looking scheme going on in the marble of it. But this chillum is PRODO glass. You will see many of them around. It's not a one of a kind piece.



Also, most tubes should not be considered "Heady". Just because it's a RooR, Illadelph, SG, or Toro, it is not automatically heady. There are some very nice collabs on tubes done by artists that you could consider heady.

I'm sure everyone has seen Trikky's collection. His tubes with worked sections on them we could consider heady. Just take a look at his Headman Heady, or his JP Toro Dom Perc Tube.

Hope this helps you a little bit to define what is heady glass, and what is not so the term is not so loosely thrown around the city.

very necessary. thank you for clearing this up for people. i was noticing the same thing and it was kind of irritating me a little bit because someone would say heady in every sentence describing their $35 spoon or whatever, and we all know that that same spoon is sitting in 95% of the glass shops in the US. +rep for knowing whats up.

I live in New Orleans and glass blowing isn't as big as it is in some other places so I never run across any pieces like this. Any place online or anyone that would ship? Yea i would consider heady glass to be the one-off pieces. Very nice glass man.

When you said a headie piece is a unique piece that you only smoke headies out of.

I think its not true in all cases because i have some headie glass, a slide by cowboy, and a slide by royal, And also a sherlock, blown by this girl mellisa from oregon, and i dont just smoke dank out of it, i smoke all kinds of weed out of my headie peices, but i keep them sparkling clean.

Good work, RF. I'm the proud owner of a heady bowl. It's a piece that I got hand blown by a local artist. He made it to my specs. I'll try and get some pics up when I get my camera, bro.

It stands true for most instances, and well I only smoke headies. Most glass collectors only smoke dank nugget to, so for most instances my statements stands, and in your case there is the exception. Either or post up that COWBOY!!!! I want some of his work bad!
