Hello GC. I made this small grow journal for all of you out there with dreams of growin yourself some good dank with a small budget and CFL's only. This was my second grow with CFL's and by far better than my first one. Through much trial and error i myself an inexperienced grower managed to produce a great plant. Like i said not only did i have a small budget but i couldnt have done it without all the help from GC. Thanks everyone and i hope you enjoy my pics.

STRAIN: TOP 44 (SEEDS ORDERED FROM WEED-SEEDS.NET)

i received 10 seeds and germinated 2 of them, 1 in which was a male.

SUPPLIES USED:

3 Gallon Pot
Miracle Grow Organic Choice Potting Soil........very cheap

1 Rubbermaid Storage Cabinet

1 Tornado fan

I had 8 CFL's on the plant at all times. The 2 main lights right above the plant were 45watt 3000k and those remained there the entire grow. The remaining 6 cfl's on the side were 23 watt 6500k. I vegged the plant for 16 days using the 6500k on the side and the 2 3000k on the top at a 18/6 light schedule. Once i reached day 16 i switched all the cfl's to be 23watt 3000k except for the top which were the 45 watt 3000k and the lights were on a 12/12 schedule..

I really didnt have a specific watering schedule, i just watered according to how dry the soil was and how the plant looked. Normally when i watered though, i would use about
2 1/2 liters of water.

About 12 days into the 12/12 light schedule i saw the first pistols. It was at that point that i began to use Miracle Grow Bloom Booster nutrients. I know many people have their opinions about Miracle Grow, but it worked great for me so it could do the same for you and once again it is very inexpensive.

The entire grow from seed to harvest only took 65 days. That has alot to do with the Strain, but also controlling the environment. At time of harvest, the plant had 25 budding tips on it and of course many underneath at the internodes. Unfortunately i dont know the exact weight of the harvest, but i would safely assume that it was about an ounce and a half dried.

Hopefully this inspired some of you out there or at least helps you get started. Once again, thanks GC.

Thanks man i appreciate it. I know that i myself have always heard bad things about miracle grow, but for some strange reason it works for me. Im currently about to start a grow (Bubblegum and Sweet Dreams.) This time i will be using a 400 watt MH and HPS, so we will see how this goes. This will be my first time not using cfl's. Any suggestions on that would be very helpful.

I only vegged for 16 days. At that point, the plant was only 7 inches tall. I knew that with a large plant the cfl's would not be sufficient so i tried to keep it short. At harvest the plant was 24 inches tall....very short but bushy.

I am getting ready to do about the same grow that you did... Is that a 2 bulb adapter in a type of clamp on shop light (not sure what the name is) that you can get a wal-mart? Not really sure what to do about lighting. I am in college so I would like to go with the cheaper CFL's. Just curious if you have any tips for me and what the finished product looked like.

Yeah those are clamp lights that i picked up at Lowes, but of course you can get those at walmart. I also had the bulb splitter inserted into them. All of the supplies i used were bought at either one of those places. I wish i could provide you guys with some pics of the finished product, but for some reason i didnt take any harvest pics.....since it was really my first producing grow i got a little excited. If anyone has any questions or comments please let me know. Thanks everybody.

Did the harvest atleast turn out decent? I just don't want to waste my time. With the Y-spliter could you use two of the 150 w spiral cfls in them. I am converting a dresser into a grom box and would like to have 2 maybe 3 plants if there is enough room. What would you suggest for lights? Your pictures have helped me out greatly.... I have watched allmost all vids on youtube and have allready found GC to be way more usefull.

The smell was pretty bad near the end, especially right after the lights came on.
