Hey everyone. I just bought a mini cool cab from sunlight sheds and today is day 4 from germination. Take a look at my setup and feel free to comment.

I've got PPP, Northern Bright, and God Bud growing.

P.S. If I'm out of smoke much longer I'll smoke these little bastards in a week, lol-not!

Wow what a difference in 14 days. I am using the 400w system with hydroponics. I was incorrect in my initial post as to the strains. I have Pure Power Plant - PPP x6 and Northern Bright - NBx3. I do not have God Bud in this batch. I got these seeds from Nirvana with whom I was very happy with the service. The PPP fan leaves were already so freakin huge I removed all of them. They are only 2" to 3 1/2" tall and very wide. The NB is very compact as well. Keeping in mind these are both sativas with typically thin leaves and narrow structure. I have been keeping the light only 6" above them.

You can also see healthy stem growth underneath.

I thought of topping the 2 tallest PPP's or fimming....whatever. I'm not looking for 5 colas but 2 would be cool. If your familure with PPP it is a heavy producer of massive buds with high thc content.

My question to you...If I topp 2 of my PPP's will they yield more or less than 2 PPP's that I don't topp?

Record you guesses here because I will topp the 2 tallest PPP's after the 4th branch set. We can watch them grow and find out together.

Point of clarification: I will only topp the top cola once on each of the 2 designated plants. Other than that no other special attention or training will be done to them. Yield = entire plant fruit.

Nice looking set up dude ....:D

And nice strains man ....:D

One thing is I can't believe is you payed all that much money for that thing and in your first picture is has light leaks ? Thats kinda unreal for the price they charge ...

It should not have any light leaks for stealth and because of how much you payed ...

What do you think about that ?

Thanks for takin a look my friend. I understand what your saying about the light leak for the cost. I feel I got a great deal on this unit. I like it alot. There is no way in hell I could have come up with this on my own, with what time I have. I used to grow in bathrooms, closets, and attics when I was young. It was alot of money. In fact it was $1749 delivered. But I saved up for it and have been very happy with it. I have fixed the light leak with $6 worth of striping. I agree, for what I paid you would think they could have checked it and done that before shipping it.

Well its all good brother as long as your a happy man ....
So with your space restricktions how do you plan on growing ?

I personally would suggest 2-4 plants full grown .....

Or fill up all those spots and go SOG for max yield only growing top colas .....(My first choice)

What are you thinking ?

If your good at cloning SOG is the way 2 go man ... for MAx yields ...

Well it's been 3 more days since last post. I topped my 2 tallest (lol, only 4" tall each) PPP plants yesterday - Day 16. It was the 5th set starting.

I have had to continue clipping the fan leaves because they are sooo big and thick. Both the Pure Power Plants and the Northern Bright. This 400w bulb 6" away is creating dwarf sativas, lol. The internodes are so close and tight together.

The branches are thick and healthy on all plants. The 2 side branches on NB #9 are right along side the center cola branch.

Should I let them spread up more or should I start flowering them at 21 days?

Well due to scheduling conflicts here at home I had to start flowering a day early. No major change in looks, fuller I quess.

Anyway I changed the water. About 900ppm to 1000ppm
12/12 400w HPS

They are still so thick and healthy. Take a look.

Some pics from day 7 of flowering cycle. Nine (9) plants total.

Pics 4 and 5 are of my NB Northern Bright plant #9. See the 3 nice tops in pic 4, now see why in pic 5...the plant is a shrubery, lol. The right branch is actually larger than the main center trunk. All my plants started branching from the bottom at the medium. The internodes are only 1/4" to 3/8" apart. See pics 6 and 7 of my PPP #2 plant. Look at the bunched-up branching at the medium level.

The plants are still so compact and tight. There are still all 9 of them in there. The buds are already hard. The leaves are thick and leathery.

The one PPP bud is so fat for its age. The flowertop is elongated and huge already. The average height is 12" and I still have a good 7+ weeks of flowering especially for the NB, they will need almost 9 more weeks.

They may look alittle droopy but they just woke up :-)

Please feel free to comment or question.

Plants are looking good tdb63. I'll hopefully be ordering the Cool Cab here in a few weeks and am interested to see how yours goes. I would like to ask you about the smell & noise; Are the filter and ionizer effective to suppress/eliminate odors from plants? And if you had someone over and it was in a back room with door closed would they be able to hear/notice it? Thanks.

Thanks for lookin. I really love the mini cool cab but...it is noisy. There are 4 fans on this puppy. 2-4" intakes, 1 main exhaust that goes through the filter system, and the 6" that goes through the cool tube. Mines in my basement just below my bedroom and I can hear it quite well. It is not really stealthy in sound. I have a dehumidifier next to it incase I have to have someone down in that area I just turn that on. The odor is not a problem until I open it and give the ladies a squeeze.

Looks awesome, well worth the price if it pays you back in the first round!

Will you take 9 all the way next time? Maybe 6 would work better, they get big with all that light!

Yea, 9 was too many. I have a new system for this now.

I have three 16" x 13" Killer Green DWC (deep water culture) hydroponic boxes. Each one has four 5" netpots. Two boxes fit inside my mini cab perfect. What I'm going to do is be able to have a perpetual grow thing going every 4 weeks I will start one box under the veg lights for 4 weeks, then... move it under the flower lights for 8 weeks...meanwhile in 4 more weeks another box will join it under the flower lights...then in 4 weeks the first box comes out of flowering (after its 8 weeks, obviously they may need longer) and goes to drying rack for 2 weeks. When that first box comes out of flowering it gets cleaned and goes back to the veging room for 4 more weeks with new seeds/clones. Rinse and repeat.

I have already started this. I have another box started with NYC Diesel x1, Lemon Skunk x1, Blueberry Skunk x2, and God Bud x2. The one with x2 mean that I have 2 seeds growing in the same 5" netpot. This box will have 6 plants total.

This is the Deep Water Culture (DWC) setup for my veging/clone system (see comments above). I actually have one under the lights with 2 week old Lowryder #2 and Lowlife AK47. The other one was just started with the Diesel, Lemon, Blueberry, and God Bud.

You know you're committed when the last thing you do at night is update, and the first thing you do in the morning is update again :smoking:

Setup is looking good... I need to take the leap and start learning about DWC.

Just a few more photos here at flower day 23. I thought I would post the strain information for my plants. I guess I should have done that in post #1 but oh-well.

Pure Power Plant x5

PPP is an acronym for Pure Power Plant. PPP is an extremely strong sativa developed in the late 1990s by crossbreeding many other types of South African varieties. It's parentage is widely unknown by marijuana growers to this day.

PPP has enormous yield potential, which explains it's popularity among most cultivators. PPP is a perfect example of the need for hybrid vigor-water is this plant's catalyst to leading it to produce it's maximum growth potential. PPP also produces both indoors and out, though better results are generally obtained outdoors with pleasant growing conditions. Growing PPP has become a trend among some Dutch commercial growers due to its possible high yields of extremely kind buds.

PPP has a pine-like taste that's as smooth as it's after-taste. PPP is well know for it's powerful social high. Hence the name Pure Power Plant. Aside from it's high yields and strong buzz, PPP also produces many THC-laden crystals. A wonderful hash-making plant.

Northern Bright x4
Northern Bright is a hybrid of Northern Light and Haze.
Northern bright produces relatively small leaves and long stretchy buds.
The smoke is heavy and the odour is a little bit sour.
Northern Bright produces an intense up buzz that is optically pleasing.
This strain takes a little longer to finish but is well worth it.

Still my only problem is over-crowding. These plants obviously became dwarfs. Many more buds are showing up on the stems and branches. Several more pics of the flowers.
