Why don't the cops just subpoena these forums to track down growers?

  1. Title basically says it. Here is a group of people basically proclaiming they are growing, with sometimes a mention of an area they're in. How come the cops don't just go after the forum owners and demand email addresses etc to (eventually) track down a grow. Too much trouble?

What if I bought a billboard in my town and on it said "YIPPEE, I AM GROWING 50 WW PLANTS AT MY HOUSE!"... couldn't the cops subpoena the billboard company and get the ID of the person who placed the board?

Or do the cops actually have to see/smell/hear to have a justifiable cause to bust your door down? (This is absurd) but if I stuck a sign in my front yard that said "POT BEING GROWN INSIDE!" does that give the cops cause to bust my door down? I realize these are just hypothetical questions, I am just curious how the law works.

  3. Amsterdam based, indeed. Can't subpoena them.

  4. Im sure there are a handful of cops out there that actually do lurk the forums though.

  5. I can see this being true but why bother, so they can try and find out what? DO they htink we share secrets on not getting caught or somehting?

  6. What cops? Local cops?

It's just now how it works.

  7. I mean theres gotta be a few douchebag cops that typed in "Marijuana Forum" on google and come here and try and see if they can bust people by looking at there grow logs and shit. I doubt its ever happened but pigs know how to use computers too.

  8. Lol, i'm surprised like i read alot of grow journals and im just waiting for it someday, to hear about GC being teh cause of someones bust i think the only reason i dont grow is because it would b typical if i was the first person ever caught because of this place
