I´m pretty sure I read this article already, so I won´t read it all over again. Looks like "change" was kicked to the curb in favor of same old same old. Or maybe it was just change from a republican administration to a democrat administration. Lets at least give Obama the benefit of doubt and wait and see, maybe he won´t listen to them and make his own weed-policies.

Let's let Obama fuck shit up before we scrutinize. After having a heated debate at thanksgiving with my family who majority feel Obama and Clinton were/are not liberal enough, I have conceded to TRY to stop scrutinizing him before letting him screw up.
I actually got tore limb by limb, my fucking family would argue that Obama isn't liberal enough and that every ceo of any big company needs to be tard, feathered and hung by there balls... I bring up the point that Obama's biggest contributors were people like that... all fucking hell broke loose... I eased shit over with the thanksgiving prayer with saying, "we need to be thankfull for Obama, so that hopefully he can get us out of this recession." After eating though my cousin brought up how Lincoln was the best uniter out of any president, and I went ape shit.
but pot isn't a drug... and obama said "i inhaled, frequently" so let's JUST HOPE! (cuz hope is all we can have left) that he does stick true to his word about "medicinal marijuana" as long as he makes it so the dispensaries and shit are safe and whatnot and so are the medical users. ...just hope lol

Uhh, I don't know about the others that voted for Obama, but yes, I do in fact feel a bit sore about his cabinet picks. I should've seen through the bullshit He's basically pulling a Clinton on this issue because he knows he can get away with it. Those in favor of any sort of decrim, legalization, medical, etc don't have enough clout yet to hold his feet to the fire, simply put. So, yea deutsch, you can say I do feel like I have some egg on my face, and I'll be the first to admit it. Do I hope he keeps his word? Sure. But I must say I'm feeling pretty cynical at this point. And I must also say, that Obama's quote about how "He is the change" made me sick to my stomach, and scared the piss out of me with such a Bush-esque quote. This guy needs his feet held to the fire, simple as that.
Wait, people actually thought Obama would change marijuana policy? As far as I know, the pharmaceutical corporations still exist and fund the major parties.
i didn't think he'd change any policys, i remember he stated about helping out the medicinal users against unfair raids by d.e.a. on homes and dispensaries
Technically they are still breaking a federal law, the only way he could truely overlook medical users is to erase all marijuana laws from federal statutes, which is something he will not do. He says he is just going to look the other way when it comes to medical marijuana patients, kind of like how a person witnessing a murder looks the other way because they are to afraid of actually doing anything to help. People that allow bad things to happen when they know they are wrong are worse than people actually doing the wrong doing, because they had the ability to stop it. According to what Obama said in 2004 he said marijuana decriminalization was very important because it is one of the leading causes of imprisonment for young adults and inhibitors to a functioning society because it causes people to just become products of the system. Lets see if he actually practiced what he preached...
