  2. anyone? anyone?

  3. wtf is a glowrod?

  4. A glow rod is a pyrex glass rod which is usually heated with a butane torch. The hot end of the rod is then touched to or waived over the bowl to ignite the bud without inhaling gas burn off

  5. in your opinion are glo rods worth it?

  6. First off it has be made of Pyrex or similar glass. If it is not it WILL shatter when heated with a torch, which is also required to use a glow-rod. I got mine at my LHS for $9.99 and a torch there for $5.99. It is a way of lighting the herb without butane.

  7. AHH beat me to it...

  8. is this really worth it?

  9. can you still milk bongs without the a butane lighter?

  10. It only cost $15 for a glo-rod and a torch, so yes I would say it is worth it. If you are smoking high quality herb in clean glass, and want to experience the taste without butane, that is. I use it regularly. It can also be used to smoke BHO and other THC extracts.

  11. Yes, very much so. Look at the picture I posted, it is fully igniting the herb.

  12. ill stick with my bic

  13. dont stick with your bic
the taste will be 10X better with glowrods or solar hits

  14. Gotcha', thanks. I've seen them before, didn't know it was called a glow rod.

  15. You're exaggerating; it's not 10x better.

The taste difference exists, but it is not a 1,000% improvement. It's not worth the trouble to me to heat up the glass first before I can take my hit. Also I always burn myself on the damn glass rod.

PS - Yes the glass ROOR pokers will work for this

  16. what is LHS????

  17. Local Head Shop?
