Again? We had to go through this last year, fucking arsonist cunts. Last year I was evacuated, but haven't been this time yet. A fire in Anaheim Hills just blew up so fast it's ridiculous. A couple friends of mine just bought a new home there and now they're being evacuated with the fire within hundreds of feet of their house:(. I was going to go to a rave tonight, but now I'm staying home watching the news.

How's everyone in southern cali doing right now? What's the situation in your area?
5,000+ people evacuated so far...

Im in Goleta, SBCC closed on Thursday due to the fire near Montecito, I guess Oprah's 32 million dollar home was really close to burning down, not sure what happened though. Good luck with everything bro I hope everything is okay.

Mainstream media's primary concern - OMG IZ OPRAH OKAY??!?!

Don't worry folks, she could take a nap, have a snack, go to sleep, and the fires would have only consumed the sixth floor of the north-west wing of her estate.

LMAO yeah
Who cares about Oprah losing her house anyways, she could buy so many more. It's depressing watching the news though, when they show families that lost their homes and most of what they own. It's amazing that it's the year 2008, almost 2009, and mother nature still kicks us around like shit when she wants to. I always thought, when I was a kid, that they'd invent something to alter the weather or put out massive fires with ease.

People I know were watching their homes burn on live television. That has got to be hard. Glad I have fire insurance.

why don't they just build stone houses?

they won't burn down

and they can be easily re-fernished and re-fitted with any wood components

i mean, srsly, why not? :confused_2:

Last year a few of them, if not all I don't remember, were arson and they suspect the same this time as well. Been watching the news all day and they aren't saying much except it's still under investigation. I guarantee at least one is arson though. It's "perfect" conditions right now for fires too because everything is dry and we've been having very strong winds. All it takes is one whacko with a match...

Man that sounds like a damn good day. I can't afford a street legal bike right now, but I ride dirt.

That's good. I've been watching the places I grew up burn on tv:(...Yorba Linda/Fullerton and Chino, sucks.

Doesnt make sense , leaving whole communities at the mercy of any transient whack job.Whether its arson or not , must be an answer to it , even if it means developing the land , you cant have houses burned down every year..dunno:(

You mention Linda , is that the Linda near Marysville ?

Hmm I don't think so. Isn't Marysville in Northern California? Yorba Linda is in southern.

Nice, Northern California is a reeeally beautiful place. I need to get out of SoCal, too many people here now. I've lived here all my life and in just that short time it has changed so much. Forests when I was a kid are now huge housing tracts, Chino used to be nothing but cows and now there are houses and strip malls every where. I don't even recognize the places I grew up as a child lmao. Where I live right now my dad said him and his brothers would go dirtbiking here and it was all forest, nothing else.

I didn't even know about a fire until this morning driving to work, half the sky was orange and black. So much traffic today, since a few freeways were blocked.

Bleh:( 12,000-20,000 people evacuated now. At least the winds have died off. This sucks, too stressed to sleep and I'm on a tolerance break.

I know man, smelling it all day made me want to get faded and go get some BBQ but I can't leave my house because if the winds pick up again the fire could be knockin' at my door within the hour.

39 year old man arrested in suspicion of arson. Witnesses saw him starting a fire with paper and leaves.

Only suspect they've announced so far. I bet these guys get treated real nice in prison hehe;) Especially since inmates helped fight the fires from last year. They've arrested a bunch of people who were trying to loot homes that have been evacuated too. It's 3 AM and I want to sleep, but the winds are supposed to be picking up again. At least this shit isn't as bad as last year where 250,000+ were evacuated.

This beautiful outdoor, mountain forest spot that they used to have summer raves at burned too.
Noooooooo

Arson suspected in one of the Riverside fires too.
