I can't doubt the talent of the Pistons. They are a talented bunch and have been for some time. But ever since Flip joined the team it's been downhill in my eyes. The defense took a back seat and the Pistons are notorious for putting it in cruise control for a good part of the season and sometimes in the playoffs. If you're thinking championship, taint happenin. IMO Detroit is 3rd in the east. I put Cleveland in front of them this year. Two teams that will be in it this year that didn't have enough weapons last year are Miami and Chicago. They are both playoff bound and will upset somebody. Will it be the Pistons!?
1. Cleveland is getting better, I doubt you not but on paper Detriot has the better team. Detroit as two players that can play Lebron defensively 1 on 1 and few teams can say that, really only teams that can say that are a few in the west and celtics. 2. Miami is going to do worse this year than they did last year, they are on a downward spiral and will so be trading Dwayne Wade and Shaq is on cruise control. 3. Chicago looks like Boston did, right before they made all those big trades, they look good on paper, but we will have to see how well they actually play.
Maybe I am going out on a limb with Miami. But do not under estimate the addition of Derrick Rose to the Bulls. There's a reason this guy went ahead of Mike the beast Beasley. He's already proving he's ready for the NBA and I think he puts Chicago into the playoffs this year for sure!

Nah. wade an marion are both healthy so far. Wade is in good shape cause of the olympics. An I think they have some good young players. How bout them clippers though. I thought they would have won a game by now, with Marcus Camby an Baron Davis. They should have kept Elton Brand.
ive said it once and ill say it again AI WILL GET DETROIT ANOTHER TITLE!!!! just for the simple fact that he is all over the court, forces turnovers, and has the ability to go out and drop 30 points like its nothing i dont doubt the cavs or bulls but its not their time yet the east comes down 2 boston and detroit and i say detroit takes it in 7 games and beats new orleans in the finals EAST 1 detroit 2 boston 3 orlando 4 cleveland 5 chicago 6 toronto 7 atlanta 8 miami (yes miami makes the playoffs)
there's NO fucking way detroit can beat the lakers/celtics/hornets/rockets in a 7 game series, hell they'd probably get beat by atlanta the way they're playing. your order is wack, atlanta is gonna place higher than toronto/chicago, and you honestly think detroit is gonna finish #1 in the east? come back to reality please.
hell no atlanta isnt as good as they seem especially after watching them lose a game 2 the nets 2nite wich the score was alot closer than this game actually was and as far as the pistons playing as of late how bout beating the lakers about a half hour ago...IN LA and making the lakers look like a d-league team....dont sleep on detroit is all im saying but honestly it culd go boston or detroit 1-2 either way..... im not gonna lie tho my bulls being 5 was a little optomistic but im a ben gordon fanatic....only competition out of the west is new orleans i think LA and houston are overrated.....lemme c ur order if anything
I live in houston, and i've been a rockets fan all my life, and as of now I agree with you that the rockets are overrated. Although they have Artest, they have no chemistry, although they do have the potential to be one of the top west teams. It's really too early to predict how the east is gonna turn out, Atlanta has been playing solid basketball so far, and they gave the Celtics a hell of a series last season. Detroit is one of those teams that can go either ways; after watching them play last night, they definately have potential, but I don't think AI is a HUGE upgrade over chauncey, but we'll see. Orlando's success depends a lot on dwight howard, he has the potential to be a beast. Chicago isn't too good, even with beasley, and miami will be a GREAT team in a year or two, but beasley needs to develop a bit more.
thats true its a bit early but as a fan i have a habbit of making very outrageous early season predictions i think houston is good with their big 3 tho of yao artest and t-mac and cant wait 2 see them play detroit this year...the pistons are a hit and miss team i kno and i agree 100% AI isnt that much of an upgrade hes just so different than billups with his high scoring ability i still think the pistons have 2 work things out with him and rip hamilton tho b.c they havent seemed 2 get on track with eachother....they play boston thursday and that will be a real test of AI especially b.c the pistons were already blown out by boston in AI's 2nd game
