so i got a bunch of clones a moth or so ago, flowered 8 and and are veging the rest. The ones i veged are somehow showing pistols, I think when we first got the clones they were cut from a just sexed plant. But these pistols look new, And i dont think its any sort of autoflower plant or my guy would have informed me of that. So we went in to top our last night and saw pistols so i honestly have no clue why or how they appeared, plese somebody give me a little help, I dont want to turn our mother into a hermy on accident, And they have been on 18/6 for a week and on 24/0 the 2 before. Dont have pics, all i can say is these pistols looked new fresh, So please I need advice, should I say whatever and flower the two clones that are veggin that have pistols appeared, or keep em veggin they shoudl revert back to veg if they are flowreing with 18/6 right?
9mm pistol? Clones are fully mature plants, capable of flowering. You mentioned that they were on 24 hrs of light and now are under 18 hrs. I think the change in light confused the plant even more. I can't guarantee that this plant will not be stressed into becoming transgendered, but the odds are you should be okay. keep your light schedule and watch your plant. It should settle down into vegetative growth after a while.
Yeah that is kinda my scare I dont want no hermie, But the only reason they were on 24/0 was for root genreation, they were on 24/0 when i got em, And kept at that for 2 weeks then went to the veg, and 12/12 the others. Do you think the plant will level itself off, Its just real strange Im kinda wondering about, if you cut a clone with pistols on it already, will those pistols ever go away or do they kinda just grow with it, Because there aren't many maybe 3 or 4 on the clones. And i do know these clones are pretty much a entire plant cut into 20 clones, so I want a mother of the strain and all the clones got pistols. So my next question is for anyone who has sexd a plant then put it back to veg, did the pistols ever go away or did they grow with the plant, I think that would solve my problem right away if they do stay there till flowering. Some strains will flower under an 18/6 cycle. I've had this happen before and it didn't get better. For me the plant seemed confused for the longest time before I finally just put it out of its misery. I'd go back to a continous light cycle.
What do you meen, isnt 18/6, I just wanna know how to keep this strain as my mother, so should i throw it to maybe 20/4 or 22/2 cuz all the other things i have are very happy at 18/6 so should i jsut give a little more light. Thanks for the help
Well I guess i could go back to 24/0 but the problem is that the other guys with them love getting there beauty rest, after 2 nights of 18/6 they had already grown 2 new nodes where it before took 4-5 days a node. I think Im going to 20/4 get some nightime, and it wont be a bad jump in the lighting so theyll still get some sleep. Hopefully that solves my problem and the plants will think there getting more light instead of going closer to winter. Thanks again guys
You shouldn't have changed the light cycle if you wanted to keep them in vegetative state. When you go from 24/0 to 12/12 the plants think its fall and automatically start flowering even if they're not that far into the vegetative state.
well i know about the 12/12 but i never went even close to that I actually only brought it to 19/5 and it happened, which i thought was nowhere close to flowering light. well see what happens after i bumped it up to a little more light (20/4) See im gonna get fucked if these dont get back to VEG, because there my mothers for not next go around but the one after it they have 2.5 months to revert and get big. I just need to know how to make them revert, Shoudl i leave it at 20/4 and see if they start reverting back, if they dont out them to 24/0. Someone who has had the same problem please help me. I am in a bad dillema
OK bud and anyone else reading, Showing pistols is perfectly normal in veg stage. I have had pistols in 3 weeks with happy healthy plants. No big deal. I keep my plants at 18/6 until they are 3 feet tall then 12/12 to get my buds. Watch your buds and don't let light in the room at dark time. If you just got to go in there invest in a green light to put in there and turn it on only when you have to go in. These green lights won't screw with your plants and are easier to find than you think, Wal-mart carries them in there party section where ballons and confetti crap like that is kept. Buds will be ready when half the pistol are amber in color redish brown. you can select buds that look more ready and come back to harvest the others later. And for indoor growers you can reveg your plants after harvesting. Keep your light on 24/0 until new growth starts back and cut them back an hour everday until you reach your 18/6 light schedual. Once you have a happy healthy plant again 12/12 more bud. Want a monster clone try this, take a clone from a female plant 21 days in bud stage, thats right don't top it or nothing the whole time just let it grow, same thing as reveg lights 24/0 until new growth then cut back an hour a day to achieve 18/6 . Happy growing.
Call it what you will but it is normal in most strains, don't change nothing don't change your light cycle to 12/12 until your good and ready, you control your grow that's the purpose of an indoor grow.
