no it just helps prevent you from throwing up, such as if you need to take codeine cough syrup, then it will be mixed with promethazine because codeine will upset your stomach

I beg to differ...
Pour a shot, drop the promethazine in the shot glass and wait for it to fizz a little.
Take the shot, with the pill in it.
Take a few follow-up shots

Dont expect to remember anything.... but its fun!

Depends on what you mean by "high."

Promethazine blocks H1 receptors, which when normally stimulated cause things like 'wakefulness,' gastric acid sectretion, inflammation and vasodilation.

You might get a little sleepy, since H1 blockers are occasionally prescribed in part for their sedative effects.

In my opinion, it won't do enough to be worth abusing.
