  1. hoping to have around 100 grams of DMT by mid june! im pretty exited

  2. Have a nice trip, try and get me a T-shirt that says "Someone I know tripped into another dimension and all they got me was this stupid shirt."

  3. haha ill try

  4. What is this exactly?

    "phalaris synthesis"?
    interested.

  5. Post a link to a guide on how we can do our own, either that or write your own!

  6. you should definitely post more information about this pharalis synth.

i am going to be growing some mimosa hostilis/ purnata here in a couple months. I have yet to try DMT but I have read some very interesting things about it.

Why does your synth take so long?

  7. http://www.erowid.org/plants/phalaris/phalaris_info3.shtml

    the guide im using.

and its a process of getting the DMT alkaloids out of the phalaris grass. everything is really easy to get (exept the sepratory funnel but there are ways around that) and it takes long because it takes a while for the alkaloids to fully "move out of the solution"

  8. what exactly is DMT ?

i have never heard of it

  9. Dimethyltryptamine (DMT), also known as N,N-dimethyltryptamine, is a naturally occurring tryptamine and potent psychedelic drug, found not only in many plants, but also in trace amounts in the human body wherein its natural function is undetermined. Structurally, it is analogous to the neurotransmitter serotonin and other psychedelic tryptamines such as 5-MeO-DMT and 4-HO-DMT. DMT is created in small amounts by the human body during normal metabolism[1] by the enzyme tryptamine-N-methyltransferase. Many cultures, indigenous and modern, ingest DMT as a psychedelic in extracted or synthesized forms. Pure DMT at room temperature is a clear or white to yellowish-red crystalline solid. DMT was first chemically synthesized in 1931.

DMT is a derivative of tryptamine with two additional methyl groups at the amine nitrogen atom. DMT was first extracted from the roots of Mimosa hostilis in 1946 by Brazilian ethnobotanist and chemist Gonçalves de Lima who named it Nigerine. DMT was first synthesized by British chemist Richard Manske in 1931.[3] DMT is often synthesized by the Speeter-Anthony synthesis from indole using oxalyl chloride, dimethylamine, and lithium aluminium hydride as reagents. DMT is usually used in its base form, but it is more stable as a salt, e.g. as a fumarate. In contrast to DMT's base, its salts are water-soluble. DMT in solution degrades relatively fast and should be stored protected from air and light in a freezer. Highly pure DMT crystals, when evaporated out of a solvent and depositing upon glass, often produce small but highly defined white crystalline needles which when viewed under intense light will sparkle, and appear colorless under high magnification.

    Psychedelic properties

DMT occurs naturally in many species of plants often in conjunction with its close chemical relatives 5-MeO-DMT and bufotenin (5-OH-DMT).[4] DMT-containing plants are commonly used in several South American shamanic practices. It is usually one of the main active constituents of the drink ayahuasca, however ayahuasca is sometimes brewed without plants that produce DMT. DMT occurs as the primary active alkaloid in several plants including such plants as Mimosa hostilis, Diplopterys cabrerana, and Psychotria viridis. DMT is found as a minor alkaloid in snuff made from Virola bark resin in which 5-MeO-DMT is the main active alkaloid.[4] DMT is also found as a minor alkaloid in the beans of Anadenanthera peregrina and Anadenanthera colubrina used to make Yopo and Vilca snuff in which bufotenin is the main active alkaloid.[4][5] Psilocybin, the active chemical in psilocybin mushrooms can also be considered a close chemical relative[6] for the psilocybin molecule contains a DMT molecule at the end as with other close chemical relatives (4-Phosphoryloxy-N,N-dimethyl-tryptamine).
DMT is generally not active orally unless it is combined with a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI), such as harmaline. Without a MAOI, the body quickly metabolizes orally-administered DMT, and it therefore has no hallucinogenic effect unless the dose exceeds monoamine oxidase's metabolic capacity (very rare). Other means of ingestion such as smoking or injecting the drug can produce powerful hallucinations and entheogenic activity for a short time (usually less than half an hour), as the DMT reaches the brain before it can be metabolised by the body's natural monoamine oxidase. Taking a MAOI prior to smoking or injecting DMT will greatly prolong and potentiate the effects of DMT.
The psychotropic effects of DMT were first studied scientifically by the Hungarian chemist and psychologist Dr. Stephen Szára who performed research with volunteers in the mid-1950s. Szára, who later worked for the U.S. National Institutes of Health, had turned his attention to DMT after his order for LSD from the Swiss company Sandoz Laboratories was rejected on the grounds that the powerful psychotropic could be dangerous in the hands of a communist country.[7]

DMT is a powerful psychoactive substance. If DMT is smoked, injected, or orally ingested with an MAOI, it can produce powerful entheogenic experiences including intense visuals, euphoria, even true hallucinations (perceived extensions of reality).[citation needed]
Inhaled: If DMT is smoked, the maximal effects last for a short period of time (5 to 30 minutes, dose-dependent). The onset after inhalation is very fast (less than 45 seconds) and maximal effects are reached within about a minute. In the 1960s, some reportedly referred to DMT as "The businessman's trip" due to the relatively short duration of vaporized, insufflated, or injected DMT.
Insufflation: When DMT is insufflated (snorted through the nostrils) the duration is markedly increased, and some users report diminished euphoria for increased "spiritual" qualities of effect.
Injection: Injected DMT produces an experience similar to inhalation in duration, intensity, and characteristics.
Oral ingestion: DMT, which is broken down by the digestive enzyme monoamine oxidase, is practically inactive if taken orally, unless combined with a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI). The traditional South American ayahuasca, or yage, is a tea mixture containing DMT and a MAOI. There are a number of admixtures to this brew, but most commonly it is simply the leaves of Psychotria viridis (containing DMT), and the vine Banisteriopsis caapi (the source of MAOI). Other DMT containing plants, including Diplopterys cabrerana, are sometimes used in ayahuasca in different areas of South America. Two common sources in the western US are Reed canary grass (Phalaris arundinacea) and Harding grass (Phalaris aquatica). In addition, Mimosa hostilis or jurema shows evidence of DMT content: the pink layer in the bark of this vine contains a high concentrations of N,N-DMT. These invasive grasses contain low levels of DMT and other alkaloids. Taken orally with an appropriate MAOI, DMT produces a long lasting (over 3 hour), slow, but deep spiritual experience similar to that of psilocybin mushrooms, but more intense. MAOIs should be used with extreme caution as they can have lethal complications with some prescription drugs, such as SSRI antidepressants, and some over-the-counter drugs.[8]
Induced DMT experiences can include profound time-dilation, visual and audio illusions, and other experiences that, by most firsthand accounts, defy verbal or visual description. Some users report intense erotic imagery and sensations and utilize the drug in a ritual sexual context.[9][10]
In a study conducted from 1990 through 1995, University of New Mexico psychiatrist Rick Strassman found that many volunteers injected with high doses of DMT had experiences with a perceived alien entity. Usually, the reported entities were experienced as the inhabitants of a perceived independent reality the subjects reported visiting on DMT.[7]

  10. ++++++ rep for that

that stuff about experiences with alien entities is nuckin futs mannn

  11. I will read through that later for sure. How do you get your pharlaris grass? you do just find it locally?

I think for mimosa hostilis I am going to attempt to germinate a couple of seeds. Its a tree so I know it will take a while to grow. But im hoping I could always sell some of my sapplings to other people interested. Im sure I could charge a fair price for them.

There is definitely a larger and larger market for DMT emerging or atleast where I am and within the crowd of people I know

  12. DMT is a very interesting drug. You should read up on Terrance McKenna if you are interested in DMT. He has written quite a few books where he talks about his experiences with DMT.

  13. ya phalaris grows all over around here, i just park on the side of the road and get 2-3 pounds. i dont have a yard or else i would grow mimosa. good luck with that.

  14. DMT will blow your mind 100 times more powerfully than acid... we put some orange DMT crystals on top of some bud, hit it (tastes chemically), then when you exhale its like youre on a roller coaster... everything (EVERYTHING) starts moving and you are overcome by the most intense trip of your life. highly recommended, ive only been able to get my hands on it one time but it was amazing.

  15. Respect man. I really appreciate people who take the time to learn about naturally occuring psychedelics and their applications. Its a beautiful experience to use nature to facilitate a passage into another dimension.

  16. Damn. if i ever get some of this.
    i am deffinately trying this.

    same here.
much more interesting than chemical highs.
    (ex...and acid)

  17. true true. i plan on giving it away to people who can respect drugs and use them to further their knowledge of the world around them. i think that if i sold it to people most would use it to "trip balls" and what not. but those people that are genuinly looking for another way to look at life i hope to supply that desire. "knock and the door shall be opened"

  18. All highs are chemical highs, you realize?

Dimethyltryptamine is extracted from various plants, Lysergic Acid Diethylamide is extracted/synthesized from ergot (Rye gone bad ;) )

I say, the level of natural-ness of the chemical is not directly correspondant to the profoundity of the experience.

  19. Ex and meth are nowhere near close to being natural. but yes if you get technical everything is natural...
