anybody ever used one of these lights to complete a grow,if so how did it work? obviously im only talking 1 or 2 plants here.so tell me what you think.
lumens =light out put kelvins=color temp this light is between 1500-2200 kelvins and 6500 lumens 70 watts will it strongly flower one plant?
Thirdeye i think is confused lumen and kelvins..... anyways i have never used a 70w (i have a 400w) but if your using it for 1-2 plants im sure that will be a good amount of light maybe get some cfls in there?
i use a 70 watt hps and 1 reptiglow 26watt 5% uvb bulb so thats about 4000 lumens? i dont realy know. but the reptiglow makes up for what the hps lacks in kelvins. although i should be getting this in the post soon. http://www.bltdirect.com/product.php?pid=5145&cat=264&nm=SON+T+Tubular+Internal+Ignitor+70+watt+ES i grow 4, 1 foot plants. all in a stealth cabinet i made. i'l post some pics when the lights come on of the box if any one wants. heres a bud shot for ya tho
yea i wanna see the setup i got 3 plants...in a closet im thinking bout a 70 w hps for the 3 sprouts or get alot of cfls
I use two 70w hps and two 36w cfl's in my cab. Results are amazing when space is limited. It really depends on your style of growing. If youve got a big open space i would use a bigger HPS light, but for a small stealth cab they work amazing and don't put off a large amount of heat. All you need is a passive intake and a nice exhaust fan accompanied with a fan blowing over the tops to cool them. I will send some pics of my set up if you want.

diy hood and a money shot. thats my new bulb too. the old one was eliptical and had 1cm clearance with the glass. temps 28-30. new one has an inch clearance and temps are 24-26. a good investment i think.
heres the trichs at 80x. i believe the uvb lamp is making a difference. but i have no proof. just seems that way.
I'm growing one female under 70 watt hps got one 42 watt cfl half way down the plant and two 26 watts sitting in the pot for the under growth. she is about 27 inches tall and in flowering now and has been for almost two weeks.
