Nothing is wrong with it. It will grow you buds, yes... and if you have cash get it. But remember, you can make one... for half the price, and twice as good
it goes both ways, i have the money for a pre-made stealth, filing cabinet looking grow box that you can check out in my sig, I would buy it again too, its pretty damn perfect for my situation
I bought a 400w hps light which came with a mh bulb and timer from htg, i didnt buy the whole system just the light by itself and its showing great results, definetaly a good buy.
its pretty and all but yes cheaper stuff could be made by yourself.. please take note of my signature if you would like a good start.. econolight has some of the nicest and cheapest light ive ever encountered
I bought a 1000w set up and various other items from HTG. I spent a lot of cash. The ballast fried in the with less than 8 mo. of use. Asked him to just send me the part to fix it. He insisted I ship the whole ballast back at my expense. It was cheaper for me to just order the part from another site. I use Texas hydro now. Don't go cheap on a light, and 400w is a waste when you can get so much more from a 600w. If you just want to grow a plant or 2, then a 250w is all you need. You can get a good quality 250w set up cheap.
no offense 20fan man, but i've been using a 400 watt MH/HPS switchable system for 2 solid months and i've got 11 sweet 1 to 1/12 foot tall plants that say u'r mistaken-- sure a 600 is more efficient but a 400 works great too
Yes, I also agree I bought 2 lights from HTG one 400W (the cheapest one they had) and a 600W (Mid-grade) and both have been great for my garden. I have even bought a reflector to get the air flowing in there. Everything has been great and I have had my equipment well over a year now. No problems what so ever. BUT to each is own. I can understand how frustrated you must have been. Only because I had the same thing happen to me but with a car performance company. They did what you said. Insisted that I send the part back when it was easier to just replace. Its lame. Its a pain in the arse!
i wouldnt mess with wiring a ballast and HID light system myself. but thats just me. your light is the most important piece of equipment, get a good quality one.
i ordered the whole thing... 250w hps with cooltube, tent, filter and fan... guys accidently sent me two orders! got two grows going... first off the tents are extremely low grade and don't even put together properly, got one broken vortex fan, and they were out of stock of the cooltube for months so i was promised i'd get a free mh conversion for the wait (never recieved)... spent 500. would have sent the second order back if their stuff wasn't such low quality junk but i'm not complaining (2 for the price of 1). I honestly think the sales reps are stoned 24/7. nice guys though
Half the price if u build one from scratch or just by buying all the parts separately and putting it together.
