Do you put a crutch on your joints? If you don't, how do you prevent the roach from burning your fingers?

I put a crutch everytime I roll a J but it is not cause I burn my fingers or lips when it burns down to the roach. Crutches in my opinion rip harder and better than without.

Basically a crutch is a rolled up piece of cardboard that is inserted into the end of a joint.
I started a thread about crutches and got an alright response.

Step 1. Take your cigerette box out or find somebody that smokes.

Step 2. Flip open the top box and locate the section of the box on the side.

Step 3. Notice the perforated edges on the left hand side. While separating the perforated edges with one hand, lift straight up with the other hand.

Step 4. Proceed to roll crutch/filter and enjoy.

Yep I use them in joints and most of the time in a blunt.
I don't do it due to burning of fingers, moreso the fact that it provides a much better hit

Yeah, I use a crutch, hits better, I find it easier to pass around/hold, and you can get all the bud in the roach...I'm getting a piece next weekend, so I have no need to save my roaches just yet; maybe when I will want to have some roaches lying around I'll start rolling without a crutch.

I use cardboard from cigarette boxes and other random white pieces of cardboard I can find; gotta be resourceful :hello:

Always. I got some hemp "tips" a few months back that roll into perfect crutches.

I just put out the roach when it gets too hot. Then I either save it for later, or pack it in a bowl.

I seem to always roll with a crutch/filter now. It hits alot harder in my opinion, and your hand doesnt get burned. Vote yes for crutch.

Always. it prevents the weed at the end from getting wet and saliva covered. When joints get too wet they seal together at the end and make it hard to hit. A filter solves that problem, along with others.

Always. The best things to use are index cards, business cards, or, if you're in a pinch, the cardboad from the Zig-Zag pack
