I have to admit, I'm a little bit disappointed by the environment graphics. If they're learned anything from GTA III and all it's off-shoots, then I think we're in for some solid dynamic game play. I'll reserve judgment until I see some more game play trailers.
Have you seen the trailers? There's 2 out right now and one more will come out before the game does. EDIT: I see what you mean by gameplay videos.. But taking a look at what you do see in the trailers, come on Rasta. It's not just going to be good because of visual appeal.
i love grandtheft auto, and have owned and played all of them for lots of hours, and i wanna get gta4 soo bad but its only for ps3 and xbox 360 what kind of shit is that? i aint paying 599 for ps3 fuck that!! btw i have a ps2
Man everyone's gonna shit themselves at what you can do. Consider what's already out for the 360, Saints Row, Crackdown, etc. It's gonna top all of those in every aspect.

Yeah, I agree. But I saw some glaring issues in any of the GTA III's. Many basic functionality issues and a really sloppy graphics. I mean; none of these issues have really been adressed in the new trailers. I've even already noticed some graphical shortcuts; namely low-resolution textures, static environments and heavy dependence on 2-D art. Also the heavy reliance on cinematic animations as opposed to dynamic animations on the upside; shadows look great, physics seems much more realistic and they finally fixed those terrible draw-distance issues. There are still some BIG question marks though. Time will tell!
Well they're using a whole new graphics engine, which is why it isn't going to have those same issues of the GTA III series (Vice City, San Andreas).
I can't wait for GTA to come out. I hope they make another San Andreas, that would be tight. The only games I'm waiting on is GTA, the next Resident Evil, and the next Metal Gear Solid.
It doesn't mean that they have fixed their data management issues. Let's face it; they could make half-ass GTA VI as much as they want and they would still make tens of millions of dollars.
I'm not going to disagree, they could do something like that, but they named it GTA 4 for a reason. GTA 3 was considered the next number in the series because it was groundbreaking, well Rockstar is sporting another GTA with a number, this means it's going to be serious...
graphics aside I thought gta III and all the others were good regardless of the older style graphics, I thought that was what made it so fun. I expected the HD graphics to kind of turn GTA lame, But those trailers are hardly gameplay quality video. Rockstar and GTA games are always huge hits, they always deliever. Its a must have regardless of how unHD the HD graphics are. What else are you gonna buy?? Saints Row? You could buy and beat like 6 next gen games in the same time youll enjoy this game. most next gen games are all for show and lack substance, GTA games are pretty massive and im sure this game will be enjoyable for many months. Definately not gonna rent this game. one of those most anticipated games of the year!

BUY THIS SHIT! Not only is the game fucking amazing, but the mutliplayer is bad ass too and i didn't think gta online would work too well, BUT IT DOES!!! u will buy
yeah but unless u pre-ordered it it's gonna be hard to find. I went to the midnight release and waited outside for like 20 mins after 12, and i wasn't even close to the back of the line. The line wrapped around the building and shit it was nuts
12 AM, not PM. Fuck getting it at midnight, though. I've waited long enough, I think I can wait another twelve hours to pick it up.
