You make a good point. She WILL regret this for the REST of her life. But it puts into perspective the hoops people have to jump through just for an education these days. It's sick and it's sad and her University needs to be calling her offering a full ride for free. Don't chastise people because they are doing what you would ethically perceive as morbid or disrespectful. If I've learned anything throughout the effects of the Bush administration is ethics are relative. Simply put, you do what you can with what you have. She has no money and a need for an education.
