Im a first time grower and I have heard that if you dont have a CO2 system then smoking around the plants is ok as a dose of CO2. I have also heard that it clogs the pores on the plants and stunts growth. Please let me know because I have been smoking around them a few times a day for 12 days now. Also I know stress on plants make them turn out male or hermi but is there anything to do to induced females?
don't smoke tobacco around your garden. it can cause a disease/virus on your plants. the only thing you can do to induce females is use fem seeds or clone from a female plant. a mj plants gender is pre-determined when the seeded plant produces seeds. there's nothing you can do to "make" a seedling female. if you need a co2 boost, do a search on "yeast, sugar and water" and you'll get a recipe for a homemade co2 generator.

You breathing is probably a far cleaner and better source of CO2 and even that is negligible. Smoke among the thousands of other hazordous chemicals only contains carbon monoxide which will kill you and your plant in large enough doses. The CO2 produced by the combustion just isnt worth it either. It usually isnt an issue to smoke around your plants but then its probably worse for your health then for your plants but its certainly not a good source of CO2.
