  1. hey im goin to the doc 2morrow and i was going to try and get some klonopin or something for my anxiety, i got pretty bad anxiety and it makes me feel really good i was just wondering if u think that he will go for it and let me get some..plus i have 2 stop smoking cuz i got busted and gotta go threw drug classes(pti)..which i was probally gonna tell him, hes a pretty cool doc but hes really just my pediatrician lol
    thanx for opinions

  2. Well, I am going to assume that if you tell your doctor that you have severe anxiety he will simply refer you to a psychologist (talk therapy, cannot prescribe drugs, but can refer you to a psychiatrist) or a psychiatrist which is a liscenced medical doctor and can prescribe you drugs. Either way, you will not be getting any scripts tomorrow.

  3. damn man see yeh i was hoping u wouldnt say that, i just dont wanna have to go threw all the bullshit, its fucked up, but how much are psychiatrist's??? would i have to go often or just see them once...would they be like evaluating me and shit!? i just dont like getting 2 personal tryin 2 get it easy lol

  4. I have an anxiety disorder as well, pills never did it for me though. Made me feel like a zombie. Weed elevates my mood and calms me down overall, and I still feel like me.

Booze helps too, but that's an extremely unhealthy way to go about it. Then again, I don't give a fuck.

  5. Okay, I've been on Zoloft, Wellbutrin, Lexapro, Klonopin, and a few others whose names escape me at the moment. For the most part, I outgrew every one in am matter of months. I've been to a couple different therapists (neither psychologists or psychiatrists). The way my health insurance works is that I was able to see the counselors without seeing my primary doctor, but all they do is listen to you and help you find ways to calm down - I had (have) major anxiety, issues and periodic moments of all-out rage. Anyway, the counselors are major anti-alcohol and anti-weed and in the beginning, they didn't even want to see me until I was totally sober. Well, when I went totally sober they were able to see just what a mess I was and after having my wife in there, all my counselors ultimately wound up agreeing with me that, yes, weed ~did~ have the most positive effect on me, but what could they do? Weed is illegal, so they could only recommend I talk to my medical doctor to get anti-depressants and anti-anxiety pills.

Well, after running the gamut of the meds above, I only had luck with Zoloft and Klonopin. For some reason, though, my doctor won't write me a refill on the Klonopin because it's only supposed to be temporary. No problem refilling the Zoloft, though. Effect-wise, the Zoloft keeps my anxieties down, but it doesn't suppress my fight or flight reflex. So, when I don't take my Klonopins, I'm not stressing about sh*t, but I do still tend to get into major road rage incidents or incidents that would probably be better left alone - I don't exactly run from an altercation. The Klonopin kinda gives me a live and let live attitude. Not saying I'm a bitch by any means, but you do tend to realize that not EVERYTHING needs to wind up in a fight, you know? Anyway, I've also discussed weed with my doctor and they also agree that although it does seem to help me out - even to the point of reducing my blood pressure to below normal levels, since we're not in a medical-marijuana state, their hands are tied, too, and can only take the prescription medication route.

Anyway, the doctor didn't feel a psychiatrist was necessary, and neither do I. They are only brought in if it's felt you have a physical problem with your brain that needs medication. Psychologists and therapists are there to help you get over or through an emotional event which might have f*cked you up a little (I've had several).

So, your doctor should and would be able to prescribe your Klonopin or whatever they feel would work best for you. I also know that Xanax works almost as good as weed for me, but my doctor refuses to prescribe it to me due to my "addictive personality". But your doctor might also be able to recommend a particular therapist based on your specific needs.

In any event, it's great that you're seeking help. Just be sure to follow through with it and take the time to listen to what the professionals recommend.

Good luck and be sure to keep us posted!

  6. Are we related?

  7. Oh great! A long-lost relative I never knew about or even heard of! Yet something else to stress over!! :D

  8. Hahaha. I get pissed over the dumbest shit. I spilled food on the coach once, and I threw my shoulder out in a fit of rage. I got out of my car and nearly assaulted someone for honking at me while I was yielding to a massive stream of cars on the highway.

The other day, I had a churning feeling in my guts from anxiety. I didn't even have anything to stress about, but I felt it. So I got drunk.

  9. psychiatrists are quick to give people medication..if you go in there with anxiety he'll give you klonopin the first day

  10. thanks madfer reefer...yeh hes a really cool doctor he said he would have to talk to a few people and doctors 2 see wat he should do, he sounded iffy about it...he also said i have an addictive personality and knows i smoke. but hes tryin 2 get me on zoloft or prozac or one of those things, i basically was like "well man i really dont even wanna go that route i was really just looking for klonopin" and got a little fed up, just cuz my moms on all that other stuff and shes phycho crazy woman ahhaah...so yeh he said he'd look into it and get back to me a little after my court date, *siggggh* fucking simple possession

  11. hahahh Dog you might as well go in there with a sign that says "Abusing Pharms"
"well man i really dont even wanna go that route i was really just looking for klonopin"
you fuckin with us or what? c'mon now playa.
if you wanted a chance at seeing any benzo, let alone k-pins, you clearly screwed that up by asking directly for it, i could tell a mile away that your a kid lookin to score a high, if i can tell this over the internet, i'm guessing a licensed physician can too.

either buy it off your friends or dont fuck wit it, 'cause you aint foolin the doctor's, (at least not with that approach)

  12. No problems, man, glad to help. FWIW, although I am a bit older (and presumably a little wiser ;) ) I still wouldn't go the route suggested above by lying to the doctor and not telling him about your "addictions" just to score some Klonopin. In retrospect, I also don't know how wise it was to outright request Klonopins your first day in, but what's done is done, right? And hey, at least he knows where you're coming from (which can be both a good thing and a bad thing), and he will be able to prescribe something "safer" for you so that you're not coming back to him in a few months with an addiction to your anti-depressants! And also, man, do NOT f*ck around with stacking mood-altering pills. They can really cause you problems if you stack or overdose - i.e. death. Seriously.

Obviously doctors have issues with Klonopins and I'd imagine there's probably some basis behind their reluctance to prescribe it. They're doctors, man, and they are legitimately trying to help, not just keep you from getting high. As far as your mom not reacting well to her meds, don't assume that you'd have the same results. Everyone's biology is different and what doesn't work for your mom or someone else might just work for you. No, you might not get high or even a minor buzz from it, but you're looking to control your anxiety, not get lit, ya know? So he might prescribe the same meds your mom's taking. If he does, give it an honest chance. Again, you're seeing your doctor instead of street-corner shopping because you want to cure your anxiety. And truth be told, most of those pills did work for me for a while anyway, and I'd go through couple-month cycles of each before changing presciptions.

So don't get hung up on Klonopin, man, cuz you might be able to take any other number of safer prescriptions and do just fine with them.

And again, I congratulate you for seeking help with your anxiety ~and~ for being honest with your doctor. The only way he's going to be able to accurately and successfully help you is if he knows exactly what both he and you are dealing with.

  13. Homeboy right here knows the drill. Lucky for my, one of my boss's has INSANE amounts of all different kinds of pills and hooks it up with LARGE amounts extremely cheap and most of the time free. She gets em all free from some accident that happened that caused her to get this shit for a lifetime. I have 3, .5 K-pins right now, I aint ever done em before 3 pills sounds like a small amount, shes bringing me about 50 more .5's today for about I think she said 10$ haha.Any recomendation on the dosage?

  14. id say like 2 mg klonopin for a nice starter dose, see how ya feeling, go with the flow you know, smoke a b or 2, its all gravy

  15. I just thought I'd share my anxiety problems, too:

I have been having anxiety/sleep disorder for a couple of years now. They might be related. I only sleep about 4 hours per night, and wake up at 4am. regargless of what time I fall asleep, even if it is 2am. It sucks.

The anxiety usually happens when I leave the house. I'm not a hermit or anything, but when I go to work or on vacation, I get this terrible feeling that something is happening to my house, usually burning down from the toaster or iron or something.

I don't take any special drugs for my problem, I try to just re-assure myself that I'm just being irrational.

  16. i bought them for my friends and it helped me feel normal like weed did for me, it makes me more comfortable around people, and no anxiety, dont be fucking judging me saying im abusing pharmies i took 2 .5's ya dick......and i can talk to my doctor like that we have a very good connection, im not a kid tryin 2 score a high, im a kid tryin 2 get my anxiety straight YOU FUCKING DICK...

and reefer thanks i wont be ignorant to the pills my mom takes and i'll try them out if thats wat im givin

    over i guess
    peace

  17. I punch people in tha face all the time, 2 maybe 3 times a week

    huhu huhu hu

  18. Right on, man. Good for you for taking an open-minded and honest approach. I wish you the best of luck. +rep :)

  19. I was thinking about going to the doc because of the problems iv had lately.

dont mean to steal the thread but was hoping for some help in here.

what exactly would (most likely) happen:

Iv been having a lot of anxiety, just all around stress induced anger i suppose you could call it that, and trouble sleeping virtually every night... theres been times where I almost am depressed... I wouldn't say it, but sometimes I think I am, and others have said it.

what would the doc prolly say? I havent had much experience with going to the doctor in my life (just a few times really).

  20. Whatever the reason may be for getting them, just be careful. Klonopin (Clonazepam) can be very addictive. You don't want to develop an addiction to these medications, it will be a bitch to get off of. It's also only for short term use, not for 6 months or more usually. There are other non habit forming anxiety medications out there, some better than others.
