Disease specific MMJ strain list

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by clinton, Apr 8, 2007.

  1. do you have any strains for epilepsy..?

    btw good post!!

  2. ohh thats a good one...
I would think it would be an indica....
But i dont know what strain in particular tho..

  3. Great Overall Post :

Some strains do seem to be off though but for the most part your pretty accurate.

Also remember that each strain reflects each person diff.

If I get some time I will add / add my two sense to the list. I have to memorize pretty much every strain / use when I was a consultant for a major dispensary in Las Vegas.

  4. I have epilepsy, and I used to use marijuana as my only AED (nothing else, including investational had worked).
When I was using Med MJ there were no special strains. Today, perhaps there may be. It depends in part on where you live. I know that there are supposed to be many more more medical marijuana strains soon (one called true blueberry x OJ cush), and Omrita Rx3
    Harlequin if available.

    See Project CBD

  5. You have to be careful with a indica for epilepsy. It gets kind of confusing because you cannot just judge a strain by its THC content, body high or cerebral high.

Aurora - Is pretty much 100 percent Indica dominant and IMO is an exception to the rule... although you will prob have to grow it yourself as it is very underrated and non really found in a lot of dispensaries.

    Cinderalla 99

Super Silver Haze____ I would try this one before all. Can you tell I am a fan of sativas for many ilnesses :)

    Good old Haze

    Sour Diesel IN LOW DOSES

    And Jack Herer

  6. I tend to agree, except that I am not a fan of all sativas or all Indicas. I don't like feeling high, because I can not function when I am high. I hope that a few medical MJ strains come online, True Blueberry x OJ Cush, Omrita Rx 3, Cotton Candy x Sour Deisel. I would really like to start my own farm, selling high CBD, low THC MJ strains only, and grow them certified green and clean exclusively. If possible I would have my own strains which I would breed to be consistant it's metabolites, that is the THC/CBD would be x/y percent from one gram to the next gram. That would make it more of medical grade - consistancy dose.

It would be nice if we had a 90 CBD strain. That way people could blend their own meds.
They have a 56 THC strain someplace. 'Roll you own dose'. If I had used the 56 percent THC weed it would kill me because THC causes high blood pressure and causes tachardia. Imagine hash oil made from the 56 THC strain. Bong that with a gas mask!

The Fed Government says that Marijuana has absolutely no medical potential, and so is classified has classified it as class I. It has also patented CBD for use in treating epilepsy (patent no 6630507). It has ruled that THC is the same class of drug (class 3) if it is from a chemical soup kitchen or if it is exists in a plant. There are many Rx drug companies who plan on coming out with THC mimitics (other drobinols), and a few are going sell marijuana tincture. It will be legal to buy THC tinctures with an Rx.
    Hmmm..... .

QUESTION to you. Most of the THC is in the (female) bud. For use in treating epilepsy a low THC level is required. I wonder if an all leaf medical marijuana medicine would work (it would be cheaper too)!

  8. The Federal Governments are a bunch of donkey dicks.

HEY FUCK YOU OBAMA. DONT TALK ABOUT POT UNLESS YOU LET US USE IT.

PEOPLE LIKE ME ARE SICK AND NEED IT AND YOU DONT GIVE A FUCK.

Education?? HA OBAMA you fucked up with that too. Anyone getting a degree now is prob not gonna get a job above a server. Thanks the obama party!

Im gonna go take a shot of morphine with my live at home nurse now because I cant use weed and without it my head will never stop hurting all night long.

Is Med MJ legal in your state? If it is legal, and the issue is having a plant, can you buy an edible, or medical oil?

Just a question about medicating for ADD. Doesn't it seem like it would make something like that worse? I'm diagnosed with ADD (although everyone has alittle bit of ADD in them :p) and take Vyvanse for mine, and actually if I smoke anything while taking that it does help more. But not so much when im not taking Vyvanse(I guess I should smoke those specific strains and see how it works though before I can criticize anything)...would you know exactly how the strains works on ADD? Could give me good reasons for a card too maybe :)? Im not the biggest fan of any kind of ridalin...

  11. People have made claims that marijuana cures everything - including foot fungus.

  12. yeah, with mj you walk a fine line when using it to treat ADD. i don't personally have ADD (i don't think, not diagnosed anyway), but i do use marijuana quite regularly to study physics and math. you really have to be careful, because some strains just won't work, and if you smoke too much of anything you're likely to just be really high and not productive. smoking just a little bit, enough to give me a light, introspective buzz, helps me tremendously with physics and math, but if i had to, say, write a paper or something i wouldn't even consider smoking weed. i suggest you do some experimentation, especially if you're in a situation where you *really* know what you're getting, as in specific strains or indica/sativa dominant strains. a well-cured sativa dominant strain can really give you a sense of attention to detail and focus, as long as you don't overdo it. of course, it's just not going to work for everyone, the same way prescription drugs don't always work for everyone. but give it a shot!

I agree. Some strains leave your mind a bit foggy. Watch out for couch loc, too. It can help you do complex things,
watch out - MJ gets you horney (grIn). Sometimes I wanted to get wasted, - usually I did. I partied - a LOT. Where I was living at the time, 1/4 of the people on my block smoked weed 24/7. It was one Hugh party that never ended. Weed, alcohol (I don't drink), food, and fun de femme. Smoking, drinking, eating, and screwing - day and night. They need a new pill for men. Not a Viagra, but rather, a pill for relieving a sore prostate that got sore from over use.

I didn't try to do physics. Astrophysics is a hobby of mine, but not when baked in a hot boxed house. We did many, many, an Oz.. I started using mj purely for medical use. THC controls your mind. THC did it's chemical thing and I enjoyed it. That's what I don't like about the fact that MJ makes you feel high. Medicine Treats, Relieves, and Restores you to a productive life. THC takes over and makes you euphoric.

Enjoy some bud for me. It has been years since I was using MJ.

  14. maybe there is a strain that can get rid of this damn wart on the bottom of my foot then!:p

Or consider spreading worts so that other people will have to use weed to cure it. I like sex much better than worts, but to each their own.

sex is better than worts. (Except genital worts).

  16. For ADHD:
jamaican lion, stinky purple, Grand daddy purps
    For sleep:
    White widow

Thank you. My old blog had crashed. I will add a strain specific list for every medical condition on my new one.

Oh, please tell me if you need high low / other THC and CBD, and if there anythings about the strains to look out for (couch loc, etc.).

Also, some pateints have a specific need, that is, someone may a have a compromised immune system (use only marijuana that is grown free of pathogens, such as no insects, no mold, no bird droppings, etc.). Some patients may need to use as oils/butter/alcohol concentrates (people w/ cancer and in pain management).

  18. Meds only with a CBD:THC ratio higher than 1:1 work for ADHD

  19. I have read the threads on the status of medical marijuana, it showed that the recognition of laryngeal cancer, Mich. - C is a legitimate disease / virus excuse to use someone else's MMJ. I believe it is not just that more than one country, but thats the first thing I read, because my father lives in Michigan, but I am in Tennessee, none of which have been approved MMJ life. I have my pursuit of happiness, including pain, to prevent damage due to western medicine painkillers and antidepressants version of constitutional rights.
